I received from IsikkahJai today! She sent me 4 items. But first, this note gives a nod to Paperman. (I love the Pixar shorts!)

The first item is inspired by Brother Bear:

(My 9 year old daughter has claimed this and it's hanging in her room already. Smiley)

The second item is inspired by Kuzco of the Emperor's New Groove:

The third item is inspired by Robin Hood:

This was made by IsikkahJai's sister. It's hard to tell but the bead on the bow is a really cool blue. So neat!

The fourth, and my favorite, item is inspired by the Pixar Short Feast:

Winston! So cute eyeing up all that yummy food. Cheesy This hoop is going in a special spot on my hoopla wall. I love all the little details.

Thanks IsikkahJai! I love it all!

3  Re: Harry Potter Small Flat Rate Box Swap Gallery in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Whistley on: March 12, 2016 08:00:30 PM
My partner Treemoon had a hang up with the post office so she delivered half of the package on the send date. A refresher of what she made:

The items are for my 9 year old daughter who is reading Harry Potter for the first time and is totally a superfan now. She loved everything she received and has been patiently waiting for today - and Tremoon didn't disappoint.

Here's the rest of the goodies!

A pair of Deathly Hallows earrings. (She hasn't read that far yet but thinks they're really cool.)

A bookmark with a Deathly Hallows charm, the house colors, a lightning bolt charm, a poly clay letter and Neville's rememberall (My daughter likes Neville best.)

(Tilt your head.) A hand stitched Hogwarts ornament. I'm sure this won't make it to the tree, it's already on her wall. Cheesy

A broom necklace, a wand necklace, and a time turner necklace. My daughter is over the moon! She's already casting spells on all of us.

All the goodies together:

Thanks Treemoon! We have a happy Harry Potter fan in our house and I'd happily swap with you again!

I know that my partner received because I watched her open it! Smiley I can't wait anymore so I'm posting pics of what I sent.

First, proof that it all fit in the box

A little extra because in person swapping has its advantages

Chocolate covered pretzel wands.

And a group shot

The first thing my 9 year old wanted to include was a Ravenclaw Prefect badge, so I made a felt one

Then my 9 year old made this, a Ravenclaw braid for Treemoon to wear in her hair

Next, a wand

Not too fancy but it sparkles!

A Maurader's map just because (Just printed and folded)

A Lumos/Nox light switch plate

An owl post bookmark

A snitch bracelet in a scrap pouch

Because everything had been so little I had to think bigger, so I made
A small covered box

The last one has the snitch bracelet pouch inside.

Still thinking bigger, some Ravenclaw wrist warmers

(the picture is upside down. The stripes go on the wrists, below the thumbs.)

A Harry Potter knot bag with a starry inside:

And finally, a tiny Dobby (made from a pattern here on Craftster)

Sorry for the sideways pictures. Smiley

I have received part of the package from Treemoon! (Living so close to each other has its advantages.) My 9 year old Harry Potter fan answered the swap questions so she receives the loot. Smiley

She got a lovely cloak of invisibility (which I'm sure she'll be reading under tonight)

and some super cute Gryffindor earrings

Sorry the lighting is not great.

and a seriously sweet Monster Book of Monsters!

The penny is for size reference. Love it!
It was so much fun to meet a fellow Craftster who lives so close. It'll be fun to see what else Treemoon comes up with. Smiley

Thank you so much Camezzo!!!

On the 1st day of Christmas my partner made for me - An advent calendar!

and with the first 12 days added to the tree

(I'll have to remember to post a picture on Christmas eve with all of the baubles on the tree.)

On the 2nd day of Christmas my partner made for me - An organizer hoop!

I love, love the colors and the decorative stitching. She even included scissors and pens! I love it!

On the 3rd day of Christmas my partner made for me - A Christmas pickle ornament!

And some lovely, purpley purple yarn! The pickle is already on the tree!

On the 4th day of Christmas my partner made for me - A lovely "wrapping in progress" sign!

On the 5th day of Christmas my partner made for me - A Pixie Dust ornament!

On the 6th day of Christmas my partner made for me - A Batman hoop!

I have a thing for Batman - but not any Batman, the Adam West tv show Batman. This hoop is oh so perfect!

On the 7th day of Christmas my partner made for me - Disneyland map ornaments

They're double sided!

On the 8th day of Christmas my partner made for me - A perfectly perfect crocheted Christmas hat!

The white is fuzzy like I picture Santa's hat to be. I love it! She also included some chocolate snowmen heads. They've been devoured by the little ones. Wink

On the 9th day of Christmas my partner made for me - A snowman scarf!

She also included a sweet snowman and some hot chocolate! It's been a blizzard here in Utah so I've been wearing my new winter apparel out and about. I love it!

On the 10th day of Christmas my partner made for me - Mickey Ornaments!

And some sweet Lindor truffles. My favorite. The ornaments are already on the tree!

On the 11th day of Christmas my partner made for me - a lovely wreath!

And a Mickey/Minnie ornament. Smiley

On the 12th day of Christmas my partner made for me - a Mickey rag quilt!

It is so soft and I love the fabric choices. My 3 year old has claimed it...we'll share. Wink

Camezzo thank you for a great swap!

Whistley's Gallery of Halloween Treats from Sweetyetevil

I waited to open the box until day one because one of the items wasn't wrapped so it became day 1. Smiley

All together

Day 1

I love all things Disney and this Nightmare Before Christmas/Halloween pillow is perfect! I've been snuggling with it all morning. I love it!

Day 2

A cork Mickey Pumpkin (I'm calling it a pumpkin)! It was wrapped in the Disney Halloween fabric. Fun!

Day 3

A cute Halloween Kitty box filled with cold process vanilla bourbon soap. It smells great and is cute to boot!

Day 4

Coasters! I think they look like spooky tree branches.

Day 5

I'm dying over this one. I mentioned that I love all things Disney. When it comes to Halloween I'm all about the Haunted Mansion. I even have the Hitchhiking Ghosts peeking out of my home's windows for our decorations. This amazing plate says "Gracey Manor Hitchhikers", has my favorite ghosts on it and is my favorite color! I adore it!
It was wrapped in the cute stripey fabric. Smiley

Day 6
(Tilt your head for a better view.)
Wrapped in this nifty little coffin is a playful little ghost swinging on a swing! It's a necklace and it glows in the dark! Love it!

Day 7

It's a poisoned apple. THE poisoned apple. Snow White's poisoned apple! I am so excited!
My new Halloween shelf is filling up with amazing things! And there's still more days to go!

Day 8

A very cool painted ceramic pumpkin! I love it!

Day 9

A sweet BOO wall/door decoration. This is not its final display place, just the first hook I had available. Smiley

Day 10

A Bat-Mickey mug! And paint pens so I can make my own ceramic mugs and plates and things. I'm so excited and with Christmas coming I have plans for these.

Day 11

A cork board covered with Disney Halloween fabric! I have some Halloween Disney pins that are going to be displayed on this. Love it!

Day 12

I love the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland and with this bracelet I can show it off! Each link is a picture of one of my favorite Mansion ghosts. So perfect!

Day 13
And on our final day 2 presents. (Tilt your head to the right.)

A Nightmare Before Christmas zipper pouch! I'm a bag nut and I love it!

And a patchwork Halloween bag! Did I mention I'm a bag nut? Love it!

Thank you Sweetyetevil for a wonderful swap. Even though our tastes are different you knocked every item out of the park! Thanks again and Happy Halloween!

9  Outdoor Piano Bench in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by Whistley on: July 26, 2015 08:30:58 PM
I rarely post threads for my individual projects but I'm just super happy with how this turned out.

May I introduce my outdoor piano bench!

Hubby and I have been working off and on in our basement and have accumulated a lot of extra wood pieces - mostly 2x4's and a couple 2x6's. The wood pile was becoming a nuisance so I decided to do something about it. Inspired by a couple of other very colorful benches I've seen around I just had to make this bench with the slats as piano keys. A pile of wood, a box of screws, some sand paper and a bit of exterior paint and ta-da! Anyway, I love how it looks on my porch. Smiley

Thanks for letting me share!

She is just too cute! I love her!

Thanks hannabear!
