What are the dimensions you usually use when making a purse?

Do you use fusible or non-fusible interfacing?  Which do you think is easier?

I made the bag and it turned out awsome!
But I didn't use any interfacing(?) because I didn't know what it was. (What is it?)
And I was gonna ask what I could use to make it a little sturdier and not so flimsy? ( Does the interfacing not make it flimsy?)
