I received yesterday from xfallenfatex! She sent me a gorgeous frame:  - the white part is a pearly paint, and the tiles have a purple glaze on them. She also sent some M&Ms and Skittles, but I didn't take a picture of those.

Her roll of film was black and white, and she took cemetery pictures for me! I love B&W photography, and one of my hobbies is cemetery photography, so these are a great addtion to my collection.

I've uploaded them to a Flickr gallery here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/97941780@N00/sets/72157594412395908/, hopefully she will be able to add some comments about the pictures. I really love that there was snow on the ground when she took the pictures, I haven't taken many cemetery shots with snow. There's also a cute kitty picture at the end Smiley

Thanks so much xfallenfatex!!! I love the shots you sent, I got prints developed too, so I can put one of them in the frame you sent. I hope my pictures come out just as good as yours did.

So all the pictures except the cat and the icicle were taken at "Thousand Steps" It is a really old cemetery that is supposedly haunted. I'm  adding individual captions for the pictures in just a few minutes!

Also I am taking my film in today hopefully, I had a bit of a mishap with my car yesterday, well I didn't, the boyfriend did.  Cry

Yay!  Got my pretties from auntiem!

Here's the lovely frame that she actually cross-stitched.

As a cross-stitcher I know how long it can take so THANKS! The picture is a non-Capture 24 shot she took in Scotland, but it went so well with the celtic design, I thought I'd leave it in for the show and tell.

Her lovely black and white photographs are over at flickr.

I can't decide on a favorite shot...probably one of the ones of machinery or the tree.

Thanks auntiem! And thanks taloola for organizing.  This was fun!

I love the frame! ANd the pictures are soo good!!

26  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Yarn for scarves? on: November 24, 2006 10:55:02 PM
What are some good yarns to make a scarf in just a basic stockinette stitch? Preferably a little thicker, not too thin so it takes forever to knit it. Also no crazy 'fun fur' type yarn.

Thanks!!

I was thinking this week that I usually like to have copies of my photographs, and trying to figure out how that would work for this swap, since the negatives or photo CD will go the person who develops the film. I'd be sad if something I took on this roll came out really great and I didn't have a copy for myself.

Any thoughts on how we can work around this? I bet other people would like to have copies of their photos too.

That's exactly what I was thinking, maybe we can work something out.
29  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Yarn help on: November 12, 2006 07:19:40 PM
I am looking for self stripping yarn in bright blues/teals/turquiose. I saw a really cute scarf at wet  seal and I LOVED the yarn but I didn't want to pay 10$ for it, but I can't find a picture of the scarf online.

Also I am looking for light pink yarn with a little gold in it, like a scarf I saw at Old Navy.

Thanks for the help.

Ugh the weather needs to get better, it is suppose to rain/snow ALL week long, except for Saturday but of course I work all day on Saturday.

I am also using 400 speed film.
