21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / measuring tape hair bow on: April 15, 2011 10:56:42 AM

22  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / riding hood style cape on: April 15, 2011 09:13:27 AM
I made a cape for my toddler. blue on the outside and pink polka dots on the inside.

it's basically a circle skirt with a hood, made mostly of flannel and trimmed with blanket satin trim stuff.

I am totally teaching myself from scratch everything sewing related.  I know nothing!  so it's a bit jenky in some spots but I'm mostly learning by trial and error.

I mentioned to a friend I wanted my kitchenaid mixer painted, he offered, and I said Hell Yes!

I had no idea what I wanted.  all I told him was either Pink or dark orange. My Birthday (and all time Fav. Holiday) is Halloween so he kinda went with that and I love it!! and I just had to share with you all.

24  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / old shirt turned diaper stacker on: March 30, 2010 10:52:39 AM
This shirt was too small for me so I made a diaper stacker out of it.

no before pics but it was just a regular ol' shirt.

I cut the split down the middle, sewed the edges, and pinned an old pin to it, then sewed the bottom closed, and added a small flat piece of cardboard inside  to keep it flat.

25  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / I sewed something on: March 20, 2010 07:45:35 PM
The only other things I've actually ever sewed with my machine have been 2 (very easy) Halloween costumes. So I'm pretty happy that in the last few days I taught myself how to re thread my bobbin, and sew a straight line.

here's my very first attempt at sewing something that will actually be used for more that just a few hours.

I hand sewed the owl using misc fabric from around the house and I just guessed on the pattern by looking at another hat.

26  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / my first attempt at a matchbox on: March 18, 2010 09:21:59 PM
me and a small group of friends decided to do a matchbox swap amongst ourselves, here's the ones I made.

I made two because I was so nervous about it turning out crappy but then I realized how much fun this is and I can't wait to make more. Just wanted to share with you all my first attempts.

I made about 75 of these Lolly pop sugar cookies for my baby's first Birthday last weekend.  I was so excited that all of them but 4 got eaten. They were pretty yummy and darn easy to make.

I started making cards a few years ago, but I just now found this lovely site so thought I'd share with you guys. Some are awful and some are OK but I'm still learning the ins and outs of paper crafting.
