11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Princess Bride Round 2 Gallery on: February 26, 2010 11:43:33 AM
Hear that sound Princess? That is the sound of the shrieking eels.
No it's not! It is ME!  Shrieking in delight at the wonderful, delightful, magnificent crafty goodness that Thisburdsabsurd made for ME!  Grin

And I just know that you will all try to determine where I live so that you can kidnap what I have rightfully stolen - but you can't! Cause it is just for me.  We've already had the ceremony and everything:
"Cwafting.  Cwafting is wot bwings us twogeva twoday. I will Tweasure my cwafts!!!"
I'll skip to the end now...
here are the pictures.
This was what greeted me when I opened the package! This and some sweets for my kiddos - which they loved! And ate so quickly I didn't get a picture!  But Thisbird drew that! She's GOOD!
This is a mug hugger. Or an insulating sleeve for those hot cups of coffee. It says, "I'm not a witch I'm your wife!" Which cracks me up! I don't know how she got the words to fabric - she is awsomer than I.
This is a replica of the goblet of wine/iocane powder with the warning to not touch! It is also a pin cushion - since I sew. (I LOVE this!)
And this is a baby ROUS. The babies are born ferocious (and grey!) And he is a weight that holds the bag for me to put scraps and snips of thread in so they won't wind up all over my house. He is SO adorable. She trimmed his hair around his face to make it even more realistic - and he is just...inconceivable!!!
This is the bag (which is detachable so I can empty it!) which catches the thread etc. And it is the fire swamp! Isn't she amazing?!!! This package is the greatest thing, in the world-except for a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe...

Another cool thing - tho silly and small I admit...is the tail on the adorable ROUS...it is so soft and touchable!  He really is such a cutie!  Thank you so much Thisbird!  You definitely hit the mark!

Oooohhhh...someone knows me all too well! And in such a short amount of time!!! Cheesy
I can't resist the teasers!
I am so excited!!!  My kids can't figure out why all the squeaks and squeals and laughter is coming from my fire swamp (office)!

hee hee...well Friday can't come soon enough! Grin

Hee hee...ooops! Shocked

Well - I'm a woman of action; lies (or counting fingers) does not become me!  (Did I mention I was dyslexic and can't count???)  pfffttt!

These are teasers - so Thisburdsabsurd...if you DO NOT want a hint....please don't look!!!!   Cheesy

I hope these work since I don't post often let alone pictures!!!   My DH could make them small and manageable...but he's not home!!

Looking forward to seeing all the 'piratey goodness'!

Ummm...not sure if it worked...crossing six fingers on my left hand... Sad

Goodmorningstarshine - Prayers for your mom.  Hugs for you.
Welcome to Wistley & Danger.kitty!

I'm okay with the extension, I have the two hardest things for last, but they are started.  The rest of my stuff is ready to go!  Smiley I may have work this weekend, so the extention comes at the perfect time.

I'm so excited to see all the finished pictures when all is said and done!

"Then why are you smiling?" ..."because I am not left handed!"   Cheesy

WOW! Shocked
Love the fabric, your work looks great on it too! Did you match that closure flap? Or is that just topstitching?
It looks wonderful - I bet your friend/teacher really appreciates it!

Good job!

Oh oh oh!!!  I wantNEED onetwo of these!!  Wink
We have some that are so worn out and they don't hold enough, and they just don't fit where they need to!  I love your fabric too.  So is it pretty much just a tube that you attach straps to?  Do you happen to have any rough measurements or advice you could pass on???

Really love it!

wasn't too sure at first (and CoutureCreations might think I'm nuts)

I thought that was one of the requirements of the swap?! Shocked Wink
I'm betting it will be awesome.  I'm going to be working hard today to get a few more things finished.  I'm really excited/nervous about the next projects!

Have fun stormin' the castle everyone!

Yeah! I've finished one thing.  Started another, am getting finalized on a few more...and am REALLY nervous about the last one... I hope it turns out! It is an opportunity for me to strech my crafting into a slightly new area...

I bet if we could all meet and secretly show our stuff - ALL the creative juices would be flowing...and no (real) work -just crafting- would get done until Feb. 28!

My kids are out of town this weekend so I am hoping to get several things done! ( Kiss Hi thisburdsabsurd! thanks for showing me how to wist!)

Back to the cauldron!

Can't WAIT to see the tutorial!  This will become all the rage to be sure!  Even if we don't have pretty milk cartons - perhaps we could use cereal boxes or something else as 'interesting'!

Good job!
