1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / How to Soften a new t-shirt? Salty brine? on: September 20, 2012 05:21:09 AM
I recently got some tshirts for my son's high school xc team. They are very scratchy even after a couple of washings. Would a couple of days soak in a salty brine work? Or what else can I try?

I posted this in the completed clothing section by mistake. This is probably a better place for the question. Sorry for the duplication.

Thanks, Greenseeds
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / How to Soften a new t-shirt? Salty brine? on: September 20, 2012 05:07:24 AM
I've recently gotten some new t-shirts (son's high school sport team) and they are so scratchy even after I washed them. I've heard that soaking them in a salt water mixture for a couple of days works. But just wondered if anyone has tried it.
Or any other suggestions?

Thanks!
3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Discussion and Questions / Does anyone know how to make a peace sign ceramic tile for backsplash? on: April 04, 2012 03:24:01 PM
I'm in the process of remodeling the kitchen. And I'm planning the backsplash. I'm wanting to use white, blue and green tiles. And I was thinking of putting in some tiles w/peace signs on them. I wonder if I could make them myself. Anyone have experience with that?

Thanks, Greenseeds
