1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: new hatchlings! on: November 06, 2008 07:23:00 PM
thanks guys! yeah i decided the birds legs worked the best so i quit making the other ones. plus making a different kind of leg each time i started a new hatchling was REALLY slowing me down.

so here's my original post i did awhile back:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=234911.0

and i've actually finished a few more since then:

i tried moving away from the bird legs to something a bit more....odd.....

but eventually wound up going back to the bird legs. i like them the best. plus i'm more productive when i'm not trying a new leg technique EVERY time. so this is my current one:

hope you like them!
these little guys just make me so happy! Smiley

4  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: help? what sorts of candies/foods are unique to the US? on: May 20, 2008 06:26:44 AM
a cookie dough kit kat?!? oh man that sounds good. most of the unusual kit kat flavors come from japan. although i just came from a trip there and i only found green tea and strawberry. i was disappointed. i don't know if i was just looking in the wrong places or what.

so i've been here for 8 years and the one thing i miss about living in a small town is being able to just jump in the car on the weekend and go driving around checking out yard sales.
so i was wondering, how do you ny'ers find yard sales? any good places that tend to have alot of yard sales? i know yard sales can be kinda hard to come by when...we don't...have......yards....that much lol

i second new york adorned. they are awesome!  http://nyadorned.com/home.htm

just make sure you don't walk past it like i did...it doesn't look like your typical tattoo parlor. not a ton of lights, pictures of tatoos outside....etc. i'd go back definitely. the people are really nice too.
