1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Hexagon Baby Blanket. on: March 05, 2010 06:19:30 AM
This blanket is 2 years old now. It was the very first thing that I crocheted and I'm still so pleased with how it turned out. It was made for my Fiances first Niece, and is now being used by his second one, who is in the picture. I'm so very happy with the fact that it has held up this well and I hope that it will continue to be passed around in the family.
It took me forever to make, and even longer to weave in all those damn tails!!! You can't really see it in the pictures, but the outer layer is done in a variegated wool, that has most of the colours of the blanket in it.
Anyway here it is with the lovely Jennifer modeling Smiley

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / First ever quilt top. on: December 29, 2009 04:36:57 AM
Hi everyone, I love this site and have been looking through all the quilts here for ages wanting to learn how to quilt. I finally decided to try (also decided to make an account here to) and I am making a quilt for my Fiance's sister who is about to have her first child.
Here it is, please if you see any major mistakes (there are a few small ones that I found) or have any criticism feel free to comment. I find that the best way to get better Smiley

I also have some leftover material from this quilt that I'm thinking of making into a quilted cushion. But I want a different but easy pattern. Any idea's on what might look nice with those materials?
