Thanks craftADDchick. I put an emphasis on the faces. The face makes or breaks em. I lightly pencil in the placement, then use various tools to help pull it off. Circle templates, sharpies are my main secrets. LOL
They are made out of 1 1/4" doll heads, and 1 1/2" ball knobs, the snout is made out of a 1/2" wooden bead, the arms are made out of chenille stems, hands are made out of 10mm wooden beads, the feet are made from wooden teardrops (clipped with figernails clippers and sanded to get the bottom of foot rounded), the ears are cut out of craft foam sheets (to achieve a near perfect circle I use the butt end of an old golf club shaft and press real hard and twist in one direction or the other. One day I hope to do a tutorial with step by step pictures. I also use dowel rods to secure all the main body parts together with plain old wood glue, the ears, feet and knit hats are super glued on. Oh yeah the knit hats are made out of a toddler's high rise sock 6 - 18 mos (WalMart) 10 pair in a pk for 6.47. The only draw back is the color choice is limited. I almost forgot, the noses are made from clay, I push the whiskers into the clay while it is soft, then put in the oven.
Hope everyone enjoys my Christmas Ornament Craft from this year, I started on November 18th, took me almost every spare minute of every day to complete 24 for family and friends. My mom and Sisters were blown away.

Thanks, they are made out of 11/4" doll heads and 1 1/2" door knobs. I drill a hole in top of the door knob (doll head already has a hole in it) run a dowel rod 1/2" in length, glue together. The wings and beak are cut out of construction paper or colored poster board. The skates are mini paper clips I just cut to the desired length and super glued to foam feet. I took a full paper clip and made a slight indentation in foam to make it so much easier to align the skates perfectly. I also drilled a hole in a 1x2 ran a screw thru it into the bottom of the door knob to make it easier to work on. I just screwed the lil guy onto the board and either set board on kitchen table or on my lap while watching either Football.....or White Christmas
