11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Keys to the Heart Necklace on: December 27, 2009 07:53:33 PM
This is really great! The composition is so balanced while still retaining the asymmetry. Plus, your choices in the charm department work together really well.
12  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: How I turned flat fold bird's eye diapers into nice absorbant burp rags!! on: December 27, 2009 07:49:30 PM
I've done something similar but instead of adding the flannel in a strip I appliqued a different flannel animal on each diaper. I wonder if I have any pictured of those lying around, they were a present for a friend who's baby shower was last year...

15  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: 3 challah loaves on: December 26, 2009 05:00:55 PM
I just made Challah for the first time the other day! Even though you let the first one rise for to long I love the way it looks. It reminds me of one of those knotted buttons (the type found on asian style clothing) and is an interesting look for Challah. Now I'm wondering if I could duplicate that look on purpose. Thanks for the inspiration!
16  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: How to make delicious pasta? on: December 26, 2009 04:57:27 PM
Use broth instead of water when you cook it. The flavor will get into the actual pasta and then you don't need as much sauce. It's quick and simple.
