Here's my scarf! Well, it's not mine anymore because I gave it away for Christmas. But, I bought way more yarn than I needed (I used just a smidgen under a skein of Naturally Caron Spa yarn- a bamboo/acrylic blend- in color 0005 Ocean Spray).

Gorgeous! That yarn is absolutely fabulous for a Luna scarf and it looks so pretty!

I hope the third time's the charm for me--I am having the same problems you were in beginning! I can't seem to get it to look right and it's not neat-looking at all. Plus, the pictures from his blog are gone so I can't see how he was doing it.

Made another one of these for a friend. I found this eggplant-colored yarn and it was perfect for her, so of course I had to buy it! Fortunately, this scarf is the perfect thing to make from it! It's not perfect and there's one part I did wrong on an end that I wanted to redo, but I was just too far along to rip it out and start over (this is NOT a pattern you want to start over if you don't have to because of how intricate it is!).

I agree that by completing this scarf you've graduated a couple of steps (or more!) above beginner . I've been crocheting (on and off) for 20 years, and I still feel like a beginner, but I have decided that if you can read a pattern you can do anything!

I have to tell you my opinion, I have been crocheting since I was six years old (I am now almost 37) and you are not "just a beginner" in crochet, if you can follow a pattern to make such a beautiful scarf!  I love the color too.

Aw, thanks! I am really proud of how it came out! I still feel like a beginner, but I guess I am getting better and able to do more complicated things!
