1  Re: Harry Potter - Luna Lovegood Scarf - My Take - PATTERN & CHART ADDED! in Crochet: Completed Projects by silverstitches on: January 04, 2010 06:00:24 AM
Made another one of these for a friend. I found this eggplant-colored yarn and it was perfect for her, so of course I had to buy it! Fortunately, this scarf is the perfect thing to make from it! It's not perfect and there's one part I did wrong on an end that I wanted to redo, but I was just too far along to rip it out and start over (this is NOT a pattern you want to start over if you don't have to because of how intricate it is!).

I saw this pattern, and I knew I wanted to make one and I had just the yarn for it! Here is my Luna Lovegood scarf!

I am sooo proud of this, as I am still just a beginner in crochet and this is the most intricate item I've made so far! I used Malabrigo Silky Merino in Party Pink--it took almost two skeins, but not quite. I may add fringe at some point. We'll see. It’s not exactly perfect (a little curly because I crochet tightly and I am pretty sure my stitches aren’t exactly perfect in terms of counting and lining up), but I’m really pleased with how it turned out and I think it was a fun use for this yarn! I am going to wear it today and tomorrow for Christmas parties! Cheesy

I cross-posted this to my Ravelry (link in my profile), which has a LOT more pictures, for anyone interested.
