11  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Teesha Moore Inspired Wall Hanging on: January 30, 2012 05:34:55 AM
I joined the TM Patch Swap and then decided that I was going to make a wall hanging for my upcoming Duck's Unlimited silent auction. You should check out the swap gallery and the discussion, because there are some awesome patches that were made. Wow, there are some talented TM people out there.

Here is my wall hanging. I made almost all the patches. The owl is from Sharalee, it's a pocket. There are two from Goldensunshine and two from Sloth003.

I just hope it brings the Ducks some bucks, cuz it took me a month of working on it. And my fingers hurt!

13  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Women's Raffle for Banquet on: January 05, 2012 08:52:36 AM
I need to make a bunch of items for a women's raffle that I am in charge of. I need ideas for quick to do things since I need many items. I am going to make some tile coasters and some pendants. I also have lots of jam and jellies that I am going to put on it.

Any other suggestions for ideas? I am also going to attempt to make a coat rack with tiles for the silent auction.

I have also tried to hit up local crafters for items. I've also hit up local stores for certificates. Let me know if you have any other ideas for me.

14  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Looking for help - Duck's Unlimited Banquet on: November 10, 2011 08:33:25 AM
One, I need some ideas for a great project for a silent auction item. I sew so so. I can decopauge. I can make jewelry. I can't knit or crochet. I made a scrabble tile loaded bracelet last year. Just looking for new ideas.

The banquet is in February, but I'm trying to plan ahead and be organized.
15  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Kitchen Color and Theme on: July 13, 2011 09:18:57 AM
I want to paint a wall in my kitchen. I have no color or theme in my kitchen. I want to create some fun.

I have a wall that runs through my kitchen and living room. I want to paint this wall. My couch is kind of a royal blue with silver circles. So it needs to be a complimentary color to royal blue. The other walls are a khaki color.

I was thinking citrus as a theme, but not sure with the khaki walls. Also thinking could go nautical, but it seems like everyone does it.  I'm thinking something relatively colorful. But I have to take my husband into consideration.  Undecided

I'm open to all suggestions and ideas.

Thanks Kris
16  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Monkey Tote bag on: July 13, 2011 05:39:01 AM
I finally finished my daughter's monkey tote bag. It's been close to done for awhile and she kept asking me when I was going to finish it. It's done. Yeah!
17  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / A Couple Necklaces on: July 04, 2011 03:58:32 PM
I made some necklaces for the button swap. I made the purple polymer clay buttons. Some of them even glow in the dark. I used shrinky dinks for the ASL charms. It was my first time with wire wrapping.

Thanks for looking.

18  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Discussion and Questions / New Kiln - I'm perplexed! on: June 28, 2011 08:03:32 AM
So I am clueless! I thought I was getting a kiln for glass. Now I have a kiln for ceramics and pottery instead. I took a fused glass class and now I can't do it. Sooooo I'm going to have to figure out what to do in this kiln. What can I do with a ceramics kiln? Any good tutorials out there for beginners? Any suggestions for things to try? Perhaps something that I don't have to invest a lot of money into. There is not much for pottery/ceramics classes in my area.

Thanks Kris
19  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Magnets for Teacher Appreciation Day on: May 19, 2011 08:44:47 PM
I made these simple magnets for teacher appreciation day. I used small floor tiles. I printed black clip art onto colored scrapbook paper. Then modge podged them. The sea life ones were for a swap here on craftster and the others went to teachers.

The Book Thief and the animals are my favorites.

20  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Pet Collar breakaway parts on: May 18, 2011 06:41:34 AM
Can anyone tell me where I could get the breakaway components to make a collar. I found one on Etsy. It comes with four pieces, I just want the clasp. I can't find anything else. Would a magnetic jewelry clasp be strong enough for a baby kitten?
Thanks Kris
