1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Bento Swap Round 3 Gallery on: March 12, 2010 02:29:48 PM
I got the one I sent Burgz from a user on etsy, who I believe picked it up from here:

Shoot.  I was afraid those chopsticks were not sturdy enough, but I couldn't think how else to pack them and they didn't fit in the bento.  Guess my super glue isn't super enough.  Anyway, I'm glad you liked it, it was a lot of fun!

Got a box chock full of bento goodness from Burgz today!  Image heavy!

Burgz had originally packed it up much neater than this, but you get the idea.  Overflowing with goodness.

She made me a matching lunch bag, utensil set, and elastic bento band, along with a big gorgeous furoshiki (sp?) and band.  Now I just have to learn how to tie a furoshiki.

The furoshiki spread on top of all of the other stuff because my apartment is tiny.  Fishies!

Lunch bag and accessories all unwrapped.

Perfect-sized tupperwares and sauce/seasoning containers, and chicks and monkeys!

Closeup of chicks.  They sassy.

One of the monkeys arrived full of homemade sesame salt!

Nori and a cute calendar for bento planning!

Sweet bento gadgetry, including a lion mold.  I see jungle themed bentos in my future.

Food!!  It looks delicious.

The egg timer changes colors so you know when your egg is done.  I did not know this existed.  How cool.

My camera does not do so well with extreme closeups, but the ends of the chopsticks are monogrammed!  I think this is my favorite part.

I got tired just taking pictures of all this stuff.  I'm such a lucky swap partner!  Thanks, Burgz!   Grin

I just need to finish the rest of the _______ for Burgz and make a trip out to the big awesome Japanese grocery/random stuff store on my next day off, and I'll be pretty much ready.  I hadn't crafted with ________ in a while, and I forgot how much fun it is!

I'm jumping on board at the last minute!  Ann Arbor is littered with Asian groceries.  I'm sure I can find some cool stuff.

Awesome!  I can't make it to this one (I have tickets to Ladysmith Black Mambazo and am pretty geeked about it) but I hope I can get to one soon.
