4521  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Giant Multi-Theme Swap Round 3 ~Signups CLOSED! We are full!~Sendouts August 31~ on: June 07, 2011 05:20:48 AM
I found a GREAT desk for my new craft area in the trash while bringing my daughter to school yesterday!  I just need hubby to take the legs off so it will fit in the area I want to put it in.  I am so happy!  Now I REALLY can stop taking up all our kitchen table space with my crafts!  Grin

I am currently working on a project that didn't come out the way I had originally planned...I had to modify it a bit...wasn't going to trash it...I spent too much time on it...oy...  Tongue

4523  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Re: Recycled/reused swap packaging on: June 06, 2011 05:02:24 PM
This is my take on it...I recycle/reuse wrapping paper, tissue paper, cards, tags, etc...  I don't save the bubble wrap (I let the kids play with it though, before I throw it out!  Cheesy).  I don't have a problem at all with my swap partners recycling either.

What I have had a problem with is having my swap items sent back loosely wrapped in the newspaper I used as "filler" in the swap package so the items wouldn't break when mailed.  The items that the person happened to send in that package to me were obviously "quickie" projects to fulfill the swap requirements and so he/she wasn't going to worry, then, about how the items were packaged.  Cry Lips sealed

I guess, as it usually does on Craftster  Wink, it all comes down to whether or not there was thought and effort put into the swap items.  If there was, it really doesn't matter to me how they're wrapped.

It sounds like many of you will be sending late...would it be helpful if we extended the sendout date?  Of course, I'd have to pass it by Pixieval...

Please let us know...I haven't heard from many of you...

That swap package is so lovely!

Oy...I am so tired.  Spent the entire morning and part of the afternoon painting my soon-to-be craft area.  It was great to finally get a move on with the room, but it is tiring to paint-and it is a tiny space!  After that, I had to clean the house and I'm still not done.

I worked on several projects concurrently for this swap during the week, for which I am glad, b/c I'm sure not going to have time this weekend!
