I THINK I have a box now, so I will probably wrap it all up tomorrow.  Definitely send it out this coming week.
3702  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Owl Swap! SU 27/May/2011 to 11/June/2011 Send Out 9/July/2011 on: July 03, 2011 08:27:16 PM
Hubby mailed out smittenheart's swap package on Friday, but can't seem to find the DC#.  He pays to mail the packages, but he keeps on giving me trouble with it, like losing the DC's.  ARRRRGGGHHH!!!!!!
3703  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Is acrylic really that bad? on: July 03, 2011 05:34:27 AM
There are so many acrylics out there now that are soft that I think it's great we have so much more too choose from than ever before.

I am not a yarn snob, and if I had my choice, I would ALWAYS craft with RHSS!  Unfortunately, most of my swap partners do not feel the same  Wink, so I use the more expensive, softer, acrylics.

Which brings me to my next thought:  I have a problem with the other acrylics b/c they are much more expensive, in smaller skeins, and do not come in the choice of colors that RHSS comes in.  (I shop at Joann's, Michael's, Walmart, and AC Moore.)

And I absolutely DESPISE the 'Simply Soft' type of yarn...it ALWAYS seperates on me!  Terrible to crochet with, and makes the finished product look bad.

Just my two cents!  Cheesy
3704  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Yarnies Vs Sewists R4 Gallery on: July 02, 2011 04:02:23 PM
Except for our Canadian friends, this swap should be done!

Everyone (except for the above) should have feedback...

Thank you for all your patience with me!
3705  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Spell My Name Swap Round 6 (signups FULL; send by Aug 1) on: July 01, 2011 06:20:05 AM
So I've purchased some extras, finished one craft, working on another, and I have my girls and my son helping me with another craft.  It's fun!
3706  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Over 30 Geezer Swap Round 4 (signups June 23 - July 4 / send by Sept 15) on: July 01, 2011 05:02:25 AM
I have to tell you atsuko, partners on the fourth will be AWESOME:

-I don't go with DH and family to my in-law's house for the celebration.  They don't treat any of us nice, and I made a stand (after 22 years together, mind you, but at least I wised up at some point  Tongue)

-I have coupons and Joann's is open on the 4th!  Grin

-Since the house will be empty and nice and quiet=perfect crafting environment!

3707  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Owl Swap! SU 27/May/2011 to 11/June/2011 Send Out 9/July/2011 on: July 01, 2011 04:58:35 AM
Hubby says the package is going out today.  Undecided

I asked him last night:  "You know, there IS a sendout date on that box??!!"  Tongue
3708  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Giant Multi-Theme Swap Round 3 ~Signups CLOSED! We are full!~Sendouts August 31~ on: July 01, 2011 04:54:37 AM
I need to stop myself from buying extras!  It's addicting!  I keep on seeing stuff, and I'm like "OH, that'll go perfect with _______ theme!"  Cheesy

I want to find a box big enough to hold all the items so I can start packing.  Otherwise I'm going to have to send theme by theme, which, now that I typed it, doesn't seem like such a bad idea.

Amnesia and dear organizer, is that plan okay with you guys?  Please let me know.
3709  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: at wits end... (projects keep twisting) on: June 30, 2011 05:06:42 AM
It looks to me like you crochet with your tension very tight=small, tight stitches=curl...maybe if you try to loosen up on the tension, and/or use a bigger crochet hook, and/or chunkier yarn it wouldn't curl.

That said, your stitches are nice and even and if the item works as what you intended it for, I wouldn't worry about it!  Cheesy
