What is that saying??? "People plan, G-d laughs."? That is certainly what happened to me yesterday. After my saying that since we all had the day off I would have my girls help me with the yarn/ribbon selections....well...the day was going well, then hubby and I went to Walmart and came home and took a nap. When he woke up, he had a really bad fever and was feeling terrible. We ended up going to the ER, where they said they are not sure, but they think he has bronchitis or pnemunoia. Sooo...needless to say, I am exhausted, and we never got to the yarn/ribbon choice. Someday.....

I am sorry for all the troubles you are having there with the flooding. Unfortunately, where I live, we have no need for reverse rain dances. As a matter of fact, my students and I were partaking in the "snow blizzard dance" yesterday in school, and it worked! As a result of said blizzard, everyone in the family is home, and I will be putting together the yarn for the three partners today with my girls. YEA! Now, it's just being able to make it to the post office! That will be another story....
Ok, first it's the impatience at waiting for partners. Then it's the impatience of receiving your package. Then it's the impatience of waiting for your partner to get her package! I am hoping she really likes it and I'm excited to see what her reaction is to it!
BTW, I was showing my scarf all around work yesterday, showing it off!
For all of you who didn't get a snow day today, I apologize in advance...but...
As I was sleeping late in bed because both my school and my girls' schools called LAST NIGHT TO CANCEL , I was laying there thinking of the other things I could make for my partner for this swap! And perhaps a little something for her daughter, who sounds like a sweetie!
Yeah, we all got phone calls tonight (except hubby), saying that school was closed for tomorrow. I just finished one crafted item for my partner. It was my first time making it and what the pattern said to do wasn't coming out looking right, so I adapted it. I hope she likes it. I don't think I will be going anywhere tomorrow, so I expect I will get some more crafting done.
