Luckily for me, in addition to a teriffic swap package, I've made a new friend from this swap too!  Cheesy

Bugaboo1 is freezing in Upstate NY, and here on Long Island, NY we are havinig a heat wave!  OY.

I kid you not, I have like three to four different projects for Quaggy going in only one of the bags at the end of my couch.  I learned a new stitch for something I am making for her, and I'm quite pleased with myself, and I think she'll like it too.

Unfortunate thing is that I started from Day 1 and worked my way backwards, which in retrospect, was probably not the smartest thing to do.  Oh well.  I have a lot done, and a lot in the works.

DH took my partner's package with him to mail this past week.  So it's in his work truck.  But he's been having a horrible time with his job right now, so I haven't wanted to bug him if it was mailed yet or, if so, for the DC#.  I'll ask him when things calm down, since I have some time.

I know what you mean, I did one craft fair and had made many, many items, and sold NADA!  My friend, who only made two (what I thought were) boring blankets...she sold BOTH!  (At a hefty $80 each!)

I go shopping all year around.  There's all the holidays to shop for, plus birthdays, and "just because I love you" days...  Plus, I like going to garage sales and craft fairs, and I always find one-of-a-kind items for people at those places.  I keep an ongoing list all year long-in pencil-and just add to it, or erase from it as needed.  Not so much money spent at once that way, and I find that I am able to give more meaningful gifts then too.

Still at the same place in this swap...two items left to go.

How is it going with you, texscrapper?  Smiley

I ask this in every swap I'm in, yes I'm annoying  Roll Eyes, but (and you all know you were wondering the same thing yourselves!  Wink)...do you have any idea when you might be posting partners?

Because as if I don't have enough crafting to do with all the other swaps I'm in, plus personal stuff I'm crafting...I just want MORE!  Muwha-ha-ha..... Roll Eyes

I think they are adorable, but not too cutesy.

And if you wanted to capture the interest of specific groups, you could use certain colors associated with the support of that group:  i.e.-rainbow for LGBT groups, pink for breast cancer, etc...

Good luck!

Grin  I've recieved from IssikahJai!  Grin  (I actually received on Thursday, but I'm sick and life obligations kinda got in the way, well, but....I'm here posting now!  Roll Eyes)

I'm unable to take and post photos, but I WILL post a wonderfully descriptive description of each and every item!  Wink  So here goes:

-Two items that were supposed to be chair covers for the back of two of my yuckky and old kitchen chairs.  Unfortunately, they are too small...BUT...they will make GREAT pillowcases!   Grin  They are both made in a patchwork style, using fabrics that both DH and I LOVE!  (Bugs for DH and ice cream for me!)

-A very well made and totally unexpected set of six placemats!!!!  These are also done in a patchwork style (I hope I'm using the correct term.), with different types of fabrics.  Here's a listing of the fabric themes from the fronts of the placemats:  exotic fish with cute fish, flowers and princesses (for my 8 yo), horses and batik (for my 10 yo), cupcake with different color fabrics (for ME!  Wink), bug fabric and stripes (for DH), and a nifty cactus print.

-A "hoopla" of the "See no evil, speak no evil, see no evil" three tree frogs!  It's so funny!  I actually purchased this embroidery set a million years ago at AC Moore, b/c I liked the theme, but embroidery just isn't my thing, so it never got done.  But now I have it!!!!!!!!!!  IJ also looped a lime green ribbon thru the top to hang it from.  It's going to go on my bedroom wall, above my headboard.

-Two skeins of the 'Impeccable' yarn brand...one lime green and one varigated with pinks/white/lime green.  I trade often with another craftster who LOVES these exact colors...I know exactly where and when this yarn will be used!

-A 'Three Keychain Pouches:  A Felting Kit'!  I was so excited to see this little kit, and even more excited to see that it made three keychain pouches!  I can't wait till I get some time to try this out!

-A matching very fancy blue/silver/white GLITTERY journal and pen set!

-Two votive candles that smell DELICIOUS!  Bamboo and Lily, and Melon Strawberry.

-A VERY UNIQUE TOL pendant on a necklace...made with seed beads...green, and then all the colors of the rainbow on a silver tree with a silver chain.  VERY WELL DONE and greatly loved!

-SHELLS AND SEA GLASS from where IJ lives!  I love the beach and all that it has to offer and these nifty beach items made the box they came in smell like summer!

-A very unusual, interesting handmade card to go with everything!

I received from my partner, texscrapper, today!

Unfortunately, we do not have our tree up yet, or our menorah even.  So I am leaving the gifts in the box till we do.

But I can explain the box!  Grin  Cube shaped, brown.... Grin Grin  (I know, I'm a smart alec!)
