3521  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Secret Santa Swap 2012 SU Oct 1-Oct 20 **SO Nov 14-19 only** on: October 20, 2012 11:03:24 AM
I ask this in every swap I'm in, yes I'm annoying  Roll Eyes, but (and you all know you were wondering the same thing yourselves!  Wink)...do you have any idea when you might be posting partners?

Because as if I don't have enough crafting to do with all the other swaps I'm in, plus personal stuff I'm crafting...I just want MORE!  Muwha-ha-ha..... Roll Eyes

I think they are adorable, but not too cutesy.

And if you wanted to capture the interest of specific groups, you could use certain colors associated with the support of that group:  i.e.-rainbow for LGBT groups, pink for breast cancer, etc...

Good luck!

Grin  I've recieved from IssikahJai!  Grin  (I actually received on Thursday, but I'm sick and life obligations kinda got in the way, well, but....I'm here posting now!  Roll Eyes)

I'm unable to take and post photos, but I WILL post a wonderfully descriptive description of each and every item!  Wink  So here goes:

-Two items that were supposed to be chair covers for the back of two of my yuckky and old kitchen chairs.  Unfortunately, they are too small...BUT...they will make GREAT pillowcases!   Grin  They are both made in a patchwork style, using fabrics that both DH and I LOVE!  (Bugs for DH and ice cream for me!)

-A very well made and totally unexpected set of six placemats!!!!  These are also done in a patchwork style (I hope I'm using the correct term.), with different types of fabrics.  Here's a listing of the fabric themes from the fronts of the placemats:  exotic fish with cute fish, flowers and princesses (for my 8 yo), horses and batik (for my 10 yo), cupcake with different color fabrics (for ME!  Wink), bug fabric and stripes (for DH), and a nifty cactus print.

-A "hoopla" of the "See no evil, speak no evil, see no evil" three tree frogs!  It's so funny!  I actually purchased this embroidery set a million years ago at AC Moore, b/c I liked the theme, but embroidery just isn't my thing, so it never got done.  But now I have it!!!!!!!!!!  IJ also looped a lime green ribbon thru the top to hang it from.  It's going to go on my bedroom wall, above my headboard.

-Two skeins of the 'Impeccable' yarn brand...one lime green and one varigated with pinks/white/lime green.  I trade often with another craftster who LOVES these exact colors...I know exactly where and when this yarn will be used!

-A 'Three Keychain Pouches:  A Felting Kit'!  I was so excited to see this little kit, and even more excited to see that it made three keychain pouches!  I can't wait till I get some time to try this out!

-A matching very fancy blue/silver/white GLITTERY journal and pen set!

-Two votive candles that smell DELICIOUS!  Bamboo and Lily, and Melon Strawberry.

-A VERY UNIQUE TOL pendant on a necklace...made with seed beads...green, and then all the colors of the rainbow on a silver tree with a silver chain.  VERY WELL DONE and greatly loved!

-SHELLS AND SEA GLASS from where IJ lives!  I love the beach and all that it has to offer and these nifty beach items made the box they came in smell like summer!

-A very unusual, interesting handmade card to go with everything!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU IJ.... Grin Grin[/color]

I received from my partner, texscrapper, today!

Unfortunately, we do not have our tree up yet, or our menorah even.  So I am leaving the gifts in the box till we do.

But I can explain the box!  Grin  Cube shaped, brown.... Grin Grin  (I know, I'm a smart alec!)

STILL have only those TWO projects to finish.  Roll Eyes

Added some small supplies this past week to a small/medium item that I had made previously for this swap.

My mantra is *serenity* (with an accompanying hand movement).  ; Smiley  I worked on achieving it all summer and really have made progress with applying it to situations in which I truly have little or no control.  It truly does make a difference.

I am the one "who shall not be named"  Grin!  I had to go crazy crafting and buying extras for this swap (and all the swaps I am in)....I have signed up for some pretty big swaps, and my swap card is full.  I am making sure to craft steadily so that I don't fall behind.  Thankfully, I am doing pretty good in that area.

imseely's package is still sitting on the shelf, ready to be mailed.

Whhoooo-hhhhooooo!  IJ mailed!  I don't think I'm even going to track the package to see when it gets here!  Just going to let it surprise me!

IJ, I hate to be a pain, but are you able to post photos of what I sent you?  I am so proud of what I made.  I hope I'm not being annoying.  Undecided

koalascout, thank you too!

I'm having so much trouble thinking of smalls, b/c I really want to make sure I craft something for Quaggy that she can use, and don't want to craft something rather useless just because it fits into the category of "small" (and forget the "extra smalls", that one is just giving me headaches... Tongue).  The 'Day Eight' smalls would probably be counted as mediums on their own, and a large as a set, if you count time, money, and materials.  I thought they might count as smalls only because I used only stash materials so some of them don't match at all, but ....and I'm not going to say anymore because that will give away what they are!  Roll Eyes  However, they are something(s) Quaggy had on her list, so I know she will want them and use them.  Also, I never, ever craft anything for a swap that I wouldn't want to receive myself.

I went shopping again today for some more supplies and goodies for Quaggy.  I have like four project bags sitting at the end of my couch in the livingroom!   Cheesy  Drives DH crazy, but I tell him that the gifts he will receive for the holidays from the FABULOUS QUAGGY will more than make up for it!  Kiss Grin
