These are all so beautiful I might have to tear my own eyes out.....and and I FREAKING love the fabrics....you people and your "recycling".  If only I could find great stuff and envision it as something else.....

Okay, I'm in for helping....I made my own bag because I couldn't fathom paying $180 for a diaper bag, when I could make it myself.

First off, I LOVE a backpack, I always have, but especially now with a baby.  As having on my back, It doesn't get in the way when I put her in the car seat or, most importantly, carry her on my hip.  However, I designed it so that it could be a shoulder strap too, with D rings at all four corners and clips on both ends of the two straps.

Second, a wipee and diaper section, either removable or built in the front (read easy to get to) is essential, and probably goes without saying. 

As for bottle holders, I find that most prefab bags go overboard with them.  Personally, I only need one inside.

Also, my diaper bag IS my purse, as is the case for MANY of my mommy friends.  What I wish I had done was design a removable section that is pretty on its own, that I keep my essentials in, ie, wallet, keys, lippy, and such, that when I go out without baby, I could just pop that out and be on my way.  Switching purses is a hassle and usually, I'm rushed.

As for other essentials, here's what's in my bag right now. Diapers, wipes, butt cream, wallet, coupon keeper (gotta be thrifty), camera (I ALWAYS have this at the ready), my small cosmetic bag, snack cup, empty bottle, little bags of powered formula already measured out all in a ziplock bag, phone, bluetooth, and a ziplock bag with a baby pharmacy in it (asprin, teething tablets, sunblock stick, motrin, gripe water when she was littler).

Granted, I carry alot of crap around with me, probably too much really.  But, I always have a band aid!!

Oh, and I wanted to link to the bag that I modeled mine after.  The thing I LOVED about this bag, and copied, is the fold out changing pad. And let me tell you, I use the heck out of it.....especially on public changing stations.  I made it removable as well, so I can throw it in the wash when it's too germy....

I love the feet idea!!  So cute and the beer thing, such good ideas, I especially love the "making good things since 2006".

And I was on track with the frame, I was thinking of stealing the home depot commerical idea and getting a wooden yard stick and cutting it into four peices and making a frame out of it.  Then wood burn "You rule dad" onto it.

Hey crafty peeps, I need your help.

My husband and I tried for 4 1/2 years for a baby and through the miracle of science, we were blessed with our wonderful daughter last July.

So this is my husband's first father's day and I want to make it special.  He LOVES LOVES LOVES this kid, she has him totally wrapped around her finger and he loves to flaunt his "daddy" status.  Plus he works his bootay off in a demanding job so that I can stay home with her.  He's a GREAT guy and I want him to know how much I appreciate him and love that he's her daddy.

I am a bit of a crafty beech, so it's only appropriate that I create something for him.  I sew LOTs and I love to scrapbook, but I always like to try new things.

He works really really hard, so he doesn't have many hobbies.  He likes TV, like Heros and Lost and shows like that.  He loves beer! He's very handy and loves to play with power tools when he gets the chance.  He likes to fish but doesn't get to much anymore, because I work on the weekends so he hangs with the kid.  He also likes to play poker but doesn't get to much anymore since it tends to be expensive and late at night.  His favorite hobby though is reading.....reading geeky books to be exact!  Starwars and Salvatore books are his favs.  He did mention that he'd like the new Gunslinger book from steven king....Oh, and he's a total math geek, like does math in his head for fun while he's driving.

So, the question then is......what should I do?!  I've got ideas for store bought gifts, but I'd really like to make him something sentimental.

Oh!  Two more things, his birthday is the DAY BEFORE father's day, lucky him.  And I tried to make him a "dad" ring from PMC at christmas......ummm m disaster!

I think I am stealing the christmas tree idea for myself.....  Yay!!!

But, will it just be a bunch of pom poms?  I'm totally excited too, but can't figure out where to even start.

What fonts did you use, if any for it?

So, i tried my first screen.  I used the speedball kit, with the diazo emulsion.  For my 12 x 18 screen, the directions said to use a 150 watt clear bulb at 12 inches for 1 hour 14 minutes.

I did just this.  But when I went to wash my screen it was almost impossible to do.  Plus, in the center of the screen, it looked like the emulsion had "cooked" on, complete with browning.

Help, what should I do?  Do I need to make adjustments?  I would like to use what I have in terms of the light bulb.

However, if I can't fix this, I'll go with the BBA No.1 photoflood, if only I could find them.....Does anyone have a suggestion?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE craftster.  It is my new best friend; seriously, sometimes I spend more time browsing through the sites than I do with my husband. 

My only wish is this:

I wish craftster had a bookmark option.  Like someway to save a topic, or bookmark it, or make it a favorite. 

Is this something I can already do and I'm just missing it?

If not, is this a possiblity in the future.
