She is crocheted from the "Fawn 2.0" pattern by Elisabeth Doherty or http://www.etsy.com/shop/GourmetAmigurumi on etsy.

I really loved crocheting this fellow. She got her name because her color makes me think so much of the Double Bubble grape flavored bubblegum. Don't you want some now?

Instead of the suggested hook, I used a D or 3.0 mm hook. The other size made gaps when I decreased, even using the invisible decrease. I really wanted to add the bead and sequin details, but I had to make her child safe.

I did make the pattern up along the way. There were several parts that had to be done over or frogged to get everthing proportional. I know the legs look small in the pic, but that is mostly because I took it from a higher angle rather than straight on.

Introducing Elyse!



I have been working on her since November, and I'm very happy to finally have her finished. 

She is going to my daughter for her fifth birthday in March. She and my daughter (also named Elyse) share brown hair and eyes, and the amigurumi Elyse is dressed in my daughter's favorite colors.

Between creating a pattern, crocheting and sewing all the parts together, Elyse was a lot of work!

I'm really proud of her legs! They are probably my favorite part.



I also like her torso, but you can't see the shaping on the finished doll because of her clothes. I just need to work on giving her a booty!

Hello swappers! My name is Nicole. I am 29 and live in the US. I'm married to my wonderful husband Andrew and our daughter Elyse is 4, soon to be 5 in March.
I'm not sure of what to say here. This is my first swap and I'm very excited about it! I like cool colors like green, deep blue and purple. I have a *thing* for stuffed animals and monsters. I really like jewelry, too, and want to learn how to make it.
The crafts that I do are knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery and a little bit of wet felting.


Crafts

***Stuffed animals, dolls, monsters or creatures. I love any kind of stuffed things! They don't have to be big, either. Most of my collection is 4-8 inches, but any size is great! PS. my daughter and I also both really like to poppit dolls here on craftster. Very cool!
***Handmade soap, lotion or shampoo. I saw something on here that was coffee + cinnamon, which would be great. Any scent is good, though. I have wanted to try handmade soaps for a long time.
***Slippers or slipper socks for me. I really like those faux Mary Jane kind, size 5 or 6
***A chunky charm bracelet like the ones on here.
***Throw pillows for my living room (burgundy, brown, gold, off-white) or my daughter's room. She doesn't really have a them or color pallette in her room, but she doesn't care for pink too much. Maybe greens, purples or oranges for her?
***Play food or finger puppets for my daughter. 



Craft Supplies

Fabric, yarn, thread, embroidery floss, felt or yarn needles. I'm also looking for different sizes of circular knitting needles and dpns because I want to start knitting in the round.
I almost forgot about purse handles! If you have any of those you would like to get rid of, I'll gladly take them.

Maybe old knitting or crochet magazines and pattern
Your felt or fabric scraps

Very cool! I really like your "style" of papercrafting. I've been looking through all of your stuff and feeling very inspired. 

That is great! I feel inspired to make something like this now. How awesome would a set of these be in a school library?

I have knitted this cap SO many times for my daughter, my husband, my sister and myself. I wrote the pattern about three years ago when I decided I wanted to make a hat, but wasn't ready to knit in the round. I thought I would post it here to help any of you who feel the same.

Here is the pattern:

You will need: about 2 oz. of a bulky weight yarn. I used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick.
Size 11 straight knitting needles
Yarn needle

Cast on 44 stitches
Work a knit 1, purl 1 ribbing for 5 rows

*knit 1, purl 1, knit 1, purl in front and back of the next stitch for an increase
Repeat from * to increase to 55 stitches

Row 1: knit 1, purl 1, *knit 3, purl 1
Repeat from *, ending with a single knit stitch
Row 2: knit 3, *purl 1, knit 3
Repeat from *

Repeat the last two rows for

4.5 inches for new baby
6 inches for older baby/toddler
8 inches for child
10 inches for adult
12 inches for an adult with a big head   (my husband)

End the pattern stitch with row 1

knit 2 tog. to the last stitch, knit 1
purl the 28 stitches
knit 2 tog. to the last stitch
purl the 14 stitches
knit 2 tog. to the last stitch

cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Run the yarn through the remaining 7 stitches and cinch closed. Turn the hat so that the wrong side is facing you and sew up the two sides. Weave in your ends and wear it!
