hey everyone! I see that the handmade knitting needles out of dowel rods are all the rage! I have yet to make a pair, but they look so fun! i was thinking of doing a swap...maybe 2 pairs and a small knitted object/ball of yarn to go with them. Any takers?
hi everyone! I did a swap on another site and it was so fun! Everyone made a handmade postcard, and used different mediums to describe one characteristic/fact about themselves and sent it off to a partner. I was thinking we could have a couple partners and make a couple different postcards. anyone interested?
hi everyone! I was at my local bead shop recently and saw a gorgeous bracelet on display! Of course they wanted me to take the class for 40 dollars! HA! I asked to see it and took pictures with my camera phone, and voila! Here is my rendition of it! It was super easy to make!
The part that look the longest was putting all the flowers on the headpins, other than that it took about 30 minutes to string!
I am going to make another in other colors and will post that next!

Now the good stuff! Details of the swap! Take 30-35 pictures, average 5 a day, over the period of a week. Whether you use film or digital doesn't matter, as long as you can put your pictures into an album. Meaning, you'll need to have prints proffessionally printed (at walmart, walgreens etc) if you do digital. Show your life at its finest (at its dullest is fine too... we're not all fascinating people). You, your family, your crafts, things you see everyday. After you are done snapping your photos, you will present them to your partner! You can write some descriptions on the back of the pictures, to explain your reason for taking exactly that picture, or to explain your feelings about the picture. Feel free to discuss amongst yourselves the format in which they will be presented. You could do a journal/scrapbook, photo album, picture board...etc You'll send out one album, the original swap had each partner having two different partners, but i think this is alot. If you would like to do and receive two albums let me know and i will match up accordingly. I don't want any newer swappers to be overwhelmed. In this swap, I think it would be amazing if everyone would be willing to send to people from different countries. If you have an questions, concerns or suggestions please let me know. This is my first time organizing a swaporganized Craftster swap, and I'm a little nervous.

hey! I've been inspired! A local art gallery had a day in the life photo swap, exhibit, and it totally rocked! Immediately i thought it would be a neat thing for us craftsters to do, but after doing some research i found that princessdukki already beat me to it. Anyone up for a round 2 of this fun swap? http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=28255.0
And here are the original details. Take 36 pictures, average 5 a day, over the period of a week. Whether you use film or digital doesn't matter, as long as you can put your pictures into an album. Meaning, you'll need to have prints if you do digital. Show your life at its finest (at its dullest is fine too... we're not all fascinating people). Make doubles of your pictures (triples if you want to keep a copy, or if you would want to be prepared to compensate for flaker's, you kind-hearted generous person you). If you like, you can write some descriptions on the back of the pictures, to explain your reason for taking exactly that picture, or to explain your feelings about the picture. Put the pictures into some cheap 36-page photo albums*, and swap! You'll send the albums out to two different people, and in return you'll get albums from two different people. In this swap, I think it would be amazing if everyone would be willing to send to people from different countries (though if you can't or won't I understand), because it would just be awesome to see different cultures living out their week!
The only thing i would change is maybe a lil journal to go along with the pics, or some sort of explanation. anyone else interested?
Hey fellow craftsters I was looking at red envelope tonight, and i found the cutest thing! Its a wish ball, you put your wishes in it for the year. I was thinking it would be a really cute Christmas/new years gift. I don't know how to insert a link to the page, but check it out! Its called the wish ornament. I want to make something for my friends like a wish ornament, or journal or something for the new year The ornament is cool but i think that we could make our own crafty version much cheaper, anyone have any idea?
hey guys! i need some help. I've adopted a soldier to write letters and send care packages too...and ive made him two crafty ones! i just found out that he is from Tennessee, and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what to put in it! thanks!
