11  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Scrabble Afghan **Pattern on Page 7** on: February 15, 2010 08:33:32 PM
I thought I'd commented before on this, but I guess not.  I love this blanket!  I hope they liked it!

It inspired me to make my own blanket, but out of fabric instead of yarn.  I can't figure out how to post on here yet, but here's a link to a scrabble quilt that I made my Mom for Christmas.  She absolutely loved it!

So thank you for the inspiration!

I love this!  I've been poking around this site looking for a dress pattern that would go well with this great cotton fabric I'd found at a thrift store, and I think this might just do it.  Smiley  And I love the idea of a quick and easy pattern!  Thanks for sharing!

What a great gift for you sister!  I hope she liked it.  The colours are really pretty, I love the gold accent at the neck.  Good job!

What a great dress!  I really love the lace around the neckline.  I want to try to make this dress, when I have time, but I think I also want to make a top inspired by this dress!  I'll try to link you to them when/if I do (if you'd like).  All in all, many thumbs up!
15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Ruffles coin purse, recycle! on: January 21, 2010 08:00:44 PM
I was so inspired by your purse that I made one for my cousin for Christmas out of a Doritos bag!  It turned out awesome, although I think I used more duct tape than fabric!
16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: swallow skirt (now with really bad tutorial) on: January 21, 2010 05:57:31 PM
What a great skirt and a great tutorial!  I've made one in a deep teal corduroy and it looked beautiful, and so easy to do!  The only change I made was to put in the zipper before sewing on the top edging pieces.  Thanks for the tute!

What a great idea!  I'm totally keeping this in mind in the future!  I wonder if I could do the same with a button up blouse that I can't wear anymore.  Smiley

Oh!  Those are so cute!  I hope she liked them, I know I'd jump my guy if he did something like that for me.  Wink

This is super cute!  I'm going to try it with a pillowcase I absolutely love, since I was searching for a good tank top to make with it!
