1  What do you give a girl for her 18th birthday? in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by jollyrogers on: January 22, 2010 07:40:10 PM
Well, the girl in question here is NUTS for the Indy Colts- especially #18 (ironic, huh) Peyton Manning.  Her entire room is decorated in Peyton/Colts stuff, her car is decked out in Colts stuff, etc.

Sooooooooo
with a little bit of fabric and thread you give her:

a Peyton Pillow!

I know the picture quality is kind of crappy, but I'm really proud of this, as it is only the 2nd thing I've ever done and I just kind of winged it.

C&C welcome and appreciated.

2  OMG I can actually DO this!!!!! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by jollyrogers on: January 03, 2010 08:20:50 PM
Hello everyone!
I have lurked and envied for a long time- wishing I could do even part of what everyone here is able to do. I have never sewn on a machine EVER. The closest I have ever gotten to sewing has been putting new buttons on things : ) After receiving a banging new machine for my b-day and Christmas( thank you DH who spoils me like a princess) I decided to give it a whirl and this is what I came up with: a lined coin purse for my daughter!

She picked the fabric and I put it together in about an hour.  Sorry for the poor picture quality- it was taken off my mobile : (

C&C??
