1  Re: 12 Days Of Christmas Swap 2007 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by dogsarecool on: September 13, 2007 02:52:54 PM
Reserved!  Grin

Day 12: Twelve beautiful beaded crochet stitch markers / wine glass charms!

Day 11: Eleven embossed cards! Some are embosses with stars and different designs, I LOVE them! I am going to send some out as thank you cards for gifts I received for the holidays! The picture of these did not really show the embossing very well. :-/

Day 10: Pet Things! 4 blankets (one for each of the pets) 2 dog collars, 2 ball tuggy toys (my dog Jake loves this toy, and he rarely plays with toys) and 2 tags for the pups! The blankets are coming in handy, there is a cold front coming through and its supposed to be 30 tonight (Saturday it was 80...)

Jake loves his blanket

Day 9: Bath Goodies! A bundle of homemade soaps, lotions, lip balms, citrus scrub, loofah, foot scrubber. They smell SO GOOD! I am going to use the citrus scrub tonight. Grin

Day 8: New Ornaments for my tree... This is the first year that we have had a tree & we were lookin' a little bare.

Day 7: Hair things! I love the bobby pins with stars and the headband! Which I am going to wear tomorrow to my office's holiday party.

Day 6: Popcorn! Oh my goodness. This stuff is the bomb! The chocolate covered carmel corn... wow wow wow! This one came in a big green bowl that says "popcorn" on the front with FIVE bags of gourmet popcorn: carmel corn, chocolate drizzle carmel corn, holiday Monster corn, cheddar & white cheddar corn.... The chocolate drizzle variety is almost gone.  Lips sealed

Day 5: Tons of different gourmet teas, coffees and hot cocoas and 2 christmasy mugs... it has been chilly here and this is nice to warm up with by the tree. Smiley *Not shown: coffee & some of the hot cocoas*

Day 4: For the hubby! danceisthenewmosh spoilt him with a pack of drawing pencils, a very nice smooth drawing paper pad, grid paper, a camping set AND a crochet beanie! He LOVES the hat, and has finally gotten off my case about making him one.  Cheesy

Day 3: Green tote bag with colorful stars (aka my new purse), embroidered "cat nap" pillow case and a necklace! I was just looking for a tote bag or big purse because now I have TWO cell phones (one for work and one personal one) and this is perfect!

Day 2: Gorgeous stockings, cut by danceisthenewmosh and sewn by grandma danceisthenewmosh! Wow, these are incredible! They are so detailed, I love them! They are hanging by my tree!

Day 1: Giant duffel bag for camping filled with goodies; tons of fabric, a stamp making set and two picture frames! I LOVE the fabric (green with brown dots and blue with brown dots)

2  Re: Once You Pop You Can't Stop Swap #4 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by dogsarecool on: August 01, 2007 07:41:50 PM
I received twice! Sorry I didn't post pics sooner, I know, I'm a slacker.
I apologize in advance for the not so awesome pictures.. please forgive
Here goes...

From DropDeadSuzie, I got this awesome can (sorry, I didn't get a pic of the actual can, but it was so cute!)

This is everything all together
And since I can't seem to focus the camera on the subject...

Here is the cute hibiscus shoelaces, little candy dangly earrings & felt flower!

And the shirt & tote bag... the shirt is brown and pink with a heart button on the front panel, so adorable, I wore it to work today. There is also a tote bag that I am now using for my library adventures.
Thanks so much DropDeadSuzie, I love everything! You did such a great job and the shirt fits great! How did you fit a shirt and a tote bag in there with that other stuff too?

And from irasema I got this can:

The whole caboodle, which included

the can with the cute flower on the lid, scrapbook doodads, stitch markers, an adorable key chain, and a matching earring and bracelet set, along with

a crochet roll, a little bag & stationary! I believe these are hand drawn, the cards & envelopes are matching with beach/ocean themes. Very adorable!

Thank you irasema! You got A LOT of stuff into that can, and I adore it all. Now I'm going to go play with my scrapbook doodads!

3  Refinished Floors in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by dogsarecool on: July 22, 2007 06:21:39 PM
Since 10 AM yesterday, we have scraped, sanded, sanded some more (about 10 hours total) and painted our badly abused original wood floors (from the 1960s).

An idea of HOW badly?
Check out the before picture

Now we haven't put down the polyurethane yet... We had to paint a border because the floors were badly damaged around the edges and we just couldn't get it all cleaned up.

Behold!

And not a smidgen of dust. We got a sander that had a dust bag attached. Yay! We are working on totally remodeling the room, but I was way too excited, I had to share now!

2 ribbon bows. Cute cute!

When I opened the envelope, the tin was wrapped in pink felt like a pice of candy. I absolutely ADORE this tin.

And here are the pictures of things I made for my partner (her themes that i used were asia, teaching and trees)

Packaging... A chinese take out box

This is the inside of the packaging... with a fortune cookie!

This is the lid. The chinese character means teach

This is the inside... the silk has a bonsai tree and its red and i made bracelets (red and gold)

The tree magnet I made from Sculpey II clay (first time working with it! Gimme a break!)

I hope everyone enjoyed looking at the pictures as much as I enjoyed participating in the swap! I love my tin!
Sorry in advance if the pics are too huge!

Edit: Ok, I give up. I don't know how to post these. If someone could help., I will love you forever!
