I know this thread hasn't been operable for quite a while, but I just got my first tattoo like a week and a half ago, and I wanted to join the fun!

These pics were taken a few hours after the tattoo was finished, so it's a bit red and swollen.  Anyway, first one shows the placement, but the second one is more realistic as far as color goes.

I've been toying with the idea of getting a tattoo for the past 4 or 5 months, and I pretty much decided that if I get one, it will be a sort of sailor tattoo banner, like a little ribbon, with the French word for "writer" written on it.

Here's the general idea.  I just made it in like 2 seconds in paint, and I couldn't get the text to arch with the lines of the banner, but you get the idea.  I want it shaded in red, and I think I would like it on one side of my lower back or on my hip

I dyed that paper myself!    And I was hoping you'd get your CD soon because I wanted to mention a few things about the songs.  For example, "Number One Hit Song" by The Minutemen was SUCH the cop-out for best song of all time, because frankly, I don't know what that would be.  But it says "number one" in the title, so I think they're trying to tell us something.  And I also know that being a "Killer Queen" isn't technically a job, but how does this not sound cool:

Yeah, being that cool can be my job any day.  Also, my "song to annoy people" is a song that I actually love.  My family hates it though, and says it sounds like carnival music.  And I also know that "A Sorta Fairytale" doesn't really indicate a time period, but I like fairy tales best, and I would live then.  So there's my few explanations.    Glad you like The Faint, they're album is really fantastic if you like "The Conductor!"

She sent me a very cute picture holder thing, like a little wire stem with a circle at the top that holds the photo, a little bifold picture frame, and a booklet called story "Love Story."

So I have a birthday party to go to today for a girl who his my boyfriend's best friend's girlfriend.  Whew!  I love her, but needless to say I don't know that much about her.  Of course she said "no gifts" but that's a crappy rule.  So I decided to whip up a clutch, mostly knowing only that she likes pink.  I didn't want to do just a pink bag, though, so I did one side denim, one side hot pink.  Hence, the Renee bag was born!

So I have been feeling the urge to stencil for a while, and I finally dove in!  The first shirt is for my boyfriend, modeled beautifully by my little (but bigger than me) brother.  I made the stencil myself, not that it was terribly hard.  Just piano keys (cuz my boy plays).

Then I wanted a stenciled shirt, so I took a generic unisex shirt from Michaels that I have since taken in for a nicer fit.  I found the stencil at freewebs.com/stencilcore.  Lots of good stuff there.  My fingers are a little tired, and the tiny little bits took forever to cut out, but I call it worth it!
