21  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Pattern: Amigurumi crochet animals, free tutorial on: March 08, 2006 07:11:09 PM
OH, thank you so much for posting these instructions!  I just learned how to crochet, and I didn't want to become those people who just make scarves and hates.  Smiley

24  Arizona / Arizona: Central / Bead stores? on: February 20, 2006 06:20:44 PM
Does anybody know of any stores that specialize in unique and unusual beads and charms?  I've tried the internet and the phone book, but I'd like to hear what people have to say about them.

This reminds me of that commercial where that couple used AOL CDs to make a fish. :-P

I love the pictures of your yard.  It doesn't snow where I live, sadly.
27  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Teen Girl Squad Mittens!!! (with pattern!) on: February 02, 2006 02:57:22 PM
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet (I didn't feel like reading all ten pages of this post...sue me  Grin)

When you're watching the episodes, you can hit the button on your keyboard that says 'print screen' and it basically takes a snapshot of your screen.  Open up Paint Shop and hit "ctrl V" or paste it, then use the crop tool to isolate the image you need.  You'll want to move it up to the top left corner and drag the bottom right corner until all the excess disappears.

*hopes this is allowed*

Well, my mom's looking to sell this 't-shirt printing thingy' that my dad bought back in the 80s to make printed tees for his t-shirt business.  But he doesn't use it anymore, and it kind of sits in my gramma's garage taking up a lot of space.

I'm 15 and not familiar with t-shirt artistry, so please forgive my untechnicallish descriptions... Grin

Anywho, there's this spinny thing with a bunch of frames that come down onto the t-shirts, and you're supposed to press it with a spatula-type thing or something, and it spins around...I think we had 2 of them, but the one my dad used the most had 4 frames for 4 colors.

There's also this huge black thing that's kind of like a conveyer belt and an oven put-together.  I think it dries the paint because the shirts go in wet, and then they come out dry.  Shocked  Haha, I just found out that it's called a dryer.  Go figure.

So I thought I'd give the Phoenix area craftsters the first dibs before I ebay the sucker.  Comment/pm if you're interested, and check back for updates, please.  If I get enough takers, I think I may have to post pictures, but my digital camera is whacko, so I don't know how I can do that...although I could borrow one...

Okay, I'm done.  Smiley

30  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Small country tote on: June 07, 2005 08:11:15 AM
It's very pretty.  For some reason when I look at it, a particular street near my home comes to mind.  Odd... Grin
