1  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / LIMBO / Re: Winter Slouch Hat *Pattern Included* on: November 26, 2011 01:25:54 PM

*****Update 2-25-10*****
I'm sorry to have to do this but I feel I must. Some people have been making things with my free patterns and selling them without my permission. I am taking this pattern down. Please visit my blog for more details.

Well that's just dumb and selfish. People will always try to rip you off, get something for nothing, but that's no reason to take it out on the rest of us honest folks! Copyright is stupid anyway...ideas can't be owned and anyone could come up with the same idea. I made this hat a couple years ago for my boyfriend and it is his favorite hat. The front post stitch (if I remember correctly) makes it very warm and thick. Now I want to make one for his dad for Christmas. Luckily this hat is not that original so I will easily be able to reconstruct the pattern from the previous hat. Thanks for posting the pattern once....I should have saved it.
2  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Vegetarian/Vegan Sandwich List on: December 23, 2009 03:41:21 AM
Use Sara Lee's blueberry bread to make a grilled cheese sandwich. It sounds weird but it is so delicious!

I like peppers a lot, so I'll use whatever kinds of peppers I have and make a roasted pepper sandwich...my favorites are jalapenos, aji amarillos, cubanelles, habaneros, carmen reds...use whatever is available. This works even better with pizza. Perhaps a pepper pizza sandwich with some tomato sauce, fresh basil and garlic. Yum.
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: "_____ in a box" gift ideas. on: December 03, 2009 08:48:03 PM
For the sarcastic and skeptical American: 'Merica in a Box. And you have to say it with a sort of hick accent, and with feeling, you know - " 'MERic-uh!"

-The movie Idiocracy
-American flag patch. So they can sew it upside down to the back pocket of their pants or something.
-Fast food/junk food trash
-The Patriot Act
-A t-shirt such as this one: http://www.choiceshirts.com/item/A12356B/
-Toy soldiers, tanks, guns, or other military related items.
-Products that say Made in China
-Wal-Mart gift card
-A copy of the Bible
-Fake autographed photos of WWE stars.

In contrast: "Revolution in a Box"

-Mao's Redbook
-1984
-Posters, stickers, and flyers from crimethinc.com to post all over the place.
-A copy of Legal First Aid
-spray paint, stencils
-punk or rap music. Not the modern pop music or gangsta type bling-bling rap.

For my friend who is way to into this: "Conspiracy Theory in a Box"

-Alex Jones movies
-fake space junk from Roswell
-fake "top secret" government documents
-Letters from aliens written in an unrecognizable language.

Haha. Any other ideas for these?
