1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Warhol Swap. on: July 04, 2006 10:23:10 PM
Now this probably has already been done at one time or another, but it would be so awesome to get a Warhol-based swap going.  Not just on his paintings, but it could be based on his movies, some of the models he worked with, etc.

How about it?   Cheesy
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / the dark side of wonderland (American McGee's "Alice")? on: August 06, 2005 03:31:12 PM
i think it would be awesome to do a darker (meaning eerie, not necessarily darker in color!) version of the Alive in Wonderland swap. sort of like that one video game based on this concept (American McGee's "Alice"). it does not necessarily need to be based on the game, but around the general theme.

anyway... who would be up for it?  Roll Eyes
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / assymetrical or victorian skirt tutorial? on: June 26, 2005 01:26:01 PM
im positive there's one out there... i found some GORGEOUS purple velvet fabric that i'm dying to make into a skirt! i know that assymetrical and victorian (a.k.a. sort of gothic) are on two very opposite sides of the spectrum, but i cant figure out what to do with it. just gazing at the fabric reminds me of the ren. fair... but i dont feel like purchasing a pattern, so something preferrably fool-proof (CHEIF of the FOOLS, speaking!) would be nice.  Smiley
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / oh, beloved Manson shirt... on: June 24, 2005 09:29:36 PM
my wonderful black/yellow Marilyn Manson shirt is a bit plain, and i cant think of what to do to it to give it more pizazz... i've gone through all of the tutorials on ohmystars at LEAST twice... anything new?  Undecided
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / ohhh... the pressure!!! on: June 07, 2005 03:05:27 PM
well, my friend gave me her beloved HIM shirt, which doesnt quite fit her right, to reconstruct! its too big, and she wants something snazzy.. i know there's so many ideas out there, but i need a fool-proof one! (it has a really nice looking heartagram on there, too!)

 any brillant ideas?
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / dress fabric and pattern? on: March 27, 2005 09:32:25 PM
well, i am on a hunt for the perfect fabric to make a pin-up girl themed shirt or dress for my graduation dance (for junior high. yes, i know. i am a baby...  Smiley ) i was thinking a cherry print or leopard... but the dance is formal... not to the extent of the large, poofy prom dresses, but it should be elegant. i can't even begin to ponder how i can associate pin-up with elegant. so i would like to know: (a) where to find such a fabric and (b) what kind of pattern to use that would look elegant yet follow the 1940's pin-up girl look (THINK MARILYN!)

c'mon, i know all of your crafty little minds can squeeze something out!   Cheesy
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / how much fabric for a miniskirt? on: March 18, 2005 04:05:22 PM
i just found the coolest freakin' red/black leopard print fabric and i need to make a skirt out of it!!! (inspired by zombie teeth's designs, of course) in a blinding flash of self confidence, i found myself craving this fabric. i am a size 0 (yes, small i know. i am a happy tree elf) and i need to know how much ill need since there are only 2 yards available! im crossing my fingers**
8  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / getting a head start on my ren. fair costume! on: March 18, 2005 03:51:01 PM
i'm not one to go much over the top, even though i do LOVE looking at others' fabulous costumes. i was planning on making a really fabulous costume, but i can't even dream of what i could make! i was thinking along the lines of a corset... any ideas?  Smiley
9  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / which color to pick? on: March 17, 2005 02:43:18 PM
