Just look at that hideousness! Picked up this little gem for a mere $1.

My mom is having surgery tomorrow and so I thought I'd make her something for when she gets out.. Thus this was born:

3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / My spool of thread is too large to fit on my sewing machine, how do I make it fi on: December 09, 2009 06:02:04 PM
I have a Singer Simple machine. I recently bought a spool of wooly nylon thread for my PUL fabric, but the spool is too large to fit on my machine. The spool holder does not stand up straight. How do I either make the spool fit, or wind a smaller spool with the thread I have?
4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Making diaper covers for first time on: December 03, 2009 07:13:18 PM
Im making one size fits all covers for the first time. Im starting with 2 colors, one yard each.
I have purchased 2 yd PUL fabric, 1 spool of thread (1000M), 1 yd hook velcro, 3 yd loop velcro, and 12 yd POE.
Is this sfficient? I figure that I will need about 1 yd of POE per cover, and that 1 yd of 60" wide fabric will make abot 5 or 6 covers.. Is this right? If not, please correct me.
