2  Got a new machine!!! in Quilting: Discussion and Questions by sugar on: January 28, 2008 01:13:53 PM
I decided it was time for me to upgrade to a hardcore sewing machine. I went with the Viking Sapphire 870. This is a beautiful machine and so far works awesome. I haven't done any quilting with it yet, I don't have my walking foot - but I have been doing some piecing. I plan on getting an extension table and a lot more accessories.

The sensor system takes some getting used to, especially when you are changing fabrics or projects quickly. But here are some pics I took:

3  Blythe inspired Wallhanging in Quilting: Completed Projects by sugar on: January 28, 2008 10:19:38 AM
I posted this in the doll/plaything forum too - but it is also a quilt:

I made this wallhanging for my friend SewPixie (aka Becca). I wanted to test using photo fabric paper.

7  My quilt for my grandmother in Quilting: Completed Projects by sugar on: December 20, 2007 06:16:33 PM
My grandmother quilts and I just started quilting. She will never have a quilt professionally done because of the price, well I had this one done - just for her.

8  Quilt as you go Wallhangings in Quilting: Completed Projects by sugar on: December 17, 2007 07:05:26 AM
These are two wallhanging/table runners that I made for Christmas gifts. I used 5 fat quarters for both of them, then I purchased the backing fabric, and a fat quarter for each to be the focal point fabric.

They were really easy to make, each one took me probably one evening. Since you quilt as you go it makes it simple:
