1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Granny square afgan help! on: May 16, 2011 12:19:00 AM
Hi!
I am currently crocheting a granny square afghan for my king size bed Cheesy Not sure when i will finish, but thought I'd start early the investigation. I have trouble figuring out how to position my squares. I have several colours, for now i think at least 10 different colours, but no idea how to put them so the afghan would look interesting. One thought was that i put them together so they would form a picture, but not sure how i could do that. They are all one coloured squares, so it's possible to make something out of them. One idea was to try some cross stitch program, but i am not sure, if that would help me. And my own head is not that smart to figure something out on my own Cheesy So can anyone help?
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Sewing a acoustic guitar bag on: April 28, 2011 11:45:19 PM
Hi!
I tried google-ing, but i realy couldn't find any diy instructions on that topic, so i thought i'd ask. Has anyone done that? I just bought a use guitar, got a bag too, but the bag is quite warn already and needs replacing. But i don't have the finance to buy one. So i thought is it possible to sew one and where to find instructions?
Even more cool would be to use some old clothes or so called recycle things (old jacket, coat or something like that) to sew the bag. Anyway all ideas, links and instructions are welcome.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Little (black) evening dress on: August 17, 2010 02:55:02 PM
I am quite new to sewing and well i can't find myself a dress from the shop to wear in a theater or musical. So need help finding a pattern to download and print. In general i am an hourglass figure, but i would like to hide my stomach and show my smaller waist and cleavage. I'd like to hide my back, because i have some pimples there, but that's not essential. It doesn't have to be black, but well black would be universal and could be worn other places to (like for a cocktail or something). I don't have fabric yet, but can't buy it before i know what dress i am gonna make. I would prefer to sew with fabric that doesn't stretch, it's easier. I do hope someone could help me find something easy and doable for me. I tried google-ing, but i just suck at that right now, or maybe it's just mission impossible. Anyway will stop writing now and hope that someone can help me. Smiley
