1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Granny square afgan help! on: May 16, 2011 10:35:29 PM
Hi! I was planning to make out a word Love, or make a big heart or write I love God or something like that. Or make a Jesus face Smiley But not sure how to plan this. So far i have yellow, orange, pink, white, 3 greens, 2 blues, 2 reds that i have used for the squares. And i plan to use even more colours Smiley
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Granny square afgan help! on: May 16, 2011 12:19:00 AM
Hi!
I am currently crocheting a granny square afghan for my king size bed Cheesy Not sure when i will finish, but thought I'd start early the investigation. I have trouble figuring out how to position my squares. I have several colours, for now i think at least 10 different colours, but no idea how to put them so the afghan would look interesting. One thought was that i put them together so they would form a picture, but not sure how i could do that. They are all one coloured squares, so it's possible to make something out of them. One idea was to try some cross stitch program, but i am not sure, if that would help me. And my own head is not that smart to figure something out on my own Cheesy So can anyone help?

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sewing a acoustic guitar bag on: May 02, 2011 03:49:12 AM
That is an option, but... My time is quite limited currently, which means IF i start sewing, i may have to leave it for some time to wait. And that means i don't have a guitar bag (which by then i have taken apart), but every week i have to carry my bag with me, at least once. So it's complicated.
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Sewing a acoustic guitar bag on: April 28, 2011 11:45:19 PM
Hi!
I tried google-ing, but i realy couldn't find any diy instructions on that topic, so i thought i'd ask. Has anyone done that? I just bought a use guitar, got a bag too, but the bag is quite warn already and needs replacing. But i don't have the finance to buy one. So i thought is it possible to sew one and where to find instructions?
Even more cool would be to use some old clothes or so called recycle things (old jacket, coat or something like that) to sew the bag. Anyway all ideas, links and instructions are welcome.

Help me find a pattern for a bag Smiley It should be shoulder bag, what would be at least that big to fit A4 and it has to have separators or something inside the bag and also few pockets Cheesy and it has to be simple to sew Smiley (i mean with a basic sewing machine and without hem tapes and linings etc). I have just fabric and a sewing machine. Smiley (don't i ask a lot). I wouldn't ask for help, but i have been searching on google for 3 days and i just can't find that bag that i want. Something between tote and messenger, but covered on top. Smiley So no-one could steal something from me. Because i don't have any zippers or buttons or anything else to leave the top opened. I do hope you understand what i want and i hope you can help me find a pattern or a photo/video tutorial would be better. Thanks in advance. Smiley
Have you seen TUTORIAL: messenger bag with zippered divider (many pics)?

not quite what i am looking for. i need more pockets Smiley

the dress looks amazing and simple. I am definetly gonna do that once i get some fabric and a sewing machine. (alhtough, propably doable also by hand...) But i have a question. Most of them are made of stretchy fabric. What kind of fabric does it have to be exactly? And how much fabric is really hard to figure out...
