1  Re: Super Simple Apron Swap Round 2 in The Swap Gallery by sjconner on: September 06, 2010 02:44:24 PM
I am finally able to post pictures of the delicious apron from eye_on_sparrow!  The green perfectly matches my kitchen counter!

My super helper modeling the apron with all the extra goodies!  I love the towel and pinch hot pads.  I haven't mastered the bias tape on those pinch hot pads yet!

I am sending out tomorrow - I didn't make the post office in time on Saturday.

Thanks,
Susan

2  New outfits for Kindergarten! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by sjconner on: August 08, 2010 06:20:33 PM
I pulled out the sewing machine and started getting Maddy ready for Kindergarten.

Molly peasant dress with an elastic empire waist from a Sis Boom pattern.  I downloaded it from www.youcanmakethis. com.  It came out really cute.  I will make more using the sleeve and skirt length variations.  It took a couple of hours and is super easy.  The matching headband is a free pattern from the same site.

A patternless skirt made form an "oliver + s" tutorial.  It uses ribbon to finish the hem and has an elastic waistband  It took less than an hour to make (even with a supervisor).  The tutorial is at www.oliverands.com

A close up of the headband from www.youcanmakethis. com.  I used one of my machine's "fancy" stitches to embellish it.  Maddy is such a ham - she's blowing kisses.

Thanks,
Susan

I finally found my camera.  Here is a picture of my flying pig from Amigurumi4life!  He's so cute!

4  Re: 2010 12" Squares CAL- January in Crochetalongs by sjconner on: January 23, 2010 06:58:24 PM
Here ya go!  I think I started too tight and then missed a bunch of sc's.  Even after trying to block it, it's still kinda ruffly.

5  Mom and Daughter jean skirts in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sjconner on: January 23, 2010 06:41:23 PM
I made a jean skirt for myself out of a pair of jeans I ripped.  I took the leftover material from the pants legs and made hearts to put on the front.  I used one of the hearts to cover the hole.

My daughter liked it so much, I taught her to make one too.
