1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Anatomy/Medical Swap Gallery! on: August 25, 2008 12:16:16 PM
Whoops, I received like a week ago, and forgot to post pictures! Here they are, from my partner LmcBride.
A small purse, with bandagey handle and neuron- and cell-inspired fabric:

A blank notebook with anatomy images and quotes:

Very cool bookmarks with histology images, foil, and copper tape:

And my favorite, an awesome, super-bright and colorful painting:

Thanks again Lmcbride and our fabulous organizer! This was fun!

I just received my package from rangerbeth! So much cool stuff!
A necklace and earrings made of buttons:

A lunch box made of cool leather and pretty red and white fabric, and a reusable sandwich wrap:

A re-conned t-shirt she embroidered with an Earth that says "Hug me"

& my favorite a messenger bag made from old pants and lined with pretty flowery fabric. This picture doesn't do it justice, but I couldn't get a good one.

Thanks again, rangerbeth!

I love the collar, although some beading along the edges with swarovski crystals would be awesome, too. I also think you shouldn't have the bunch of feathers in the back. I like how it starts and goes down the strap, and then I think it should wrap around to the front.
I can't wait to see the finished product!

Otherwise, if you save any bags your food might have come in (like the bag from your chips, bread, bagged salad, anything in a bag!), you can use those to clean the litter box, and you won't be producing any more trash since you'd throw those things away anyhow. If you eat mostly fresh food that doesn't come in bags, you probably have a few friends or coworkers who would be happy to save their bags for you. If you have a job with a lunchroom, you could probably put a box for people to put their wrappers in instead of throwing them away. People might think you're a little weird, but we'd all know you're super cool!

I love these! Great details!! I love intricate stuff like this! How do you get all the little circles so perfect? Do you use paint in a squeezy tube, or are you just really talented with a paintbrush??
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: The Super Sea Swap Splendid Gallery! on: July 19, 2008 10:25:46 PM
My partner sent on time, I just spaced on giving her my new address, so it went to my parents' house, and I just got it last week when I visited them. So here's the stuff I got from crochetninja:
A lovely sea picture!

A journal she made!

Clay buttons!

Jewelry!

& a little purse!

Thanks again, crochetninja!

I received from Raynbow! It's really nice! There's a skein of purple, a skein of blue, and then one smaller one of the two plied together!!! That's a fantastic way to make sure I can use them together for one project!

I just have to figure out what to make... maybe a scarf?!
Thanks again, Raynbow, and thanks organizers!
8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Back to Nature Swap Gallery on: June 17, 2008 12:48:04 PM
I got my package like a week and a half ago, and have just been too lazy to post pictures! My partner, Tristitia, knows I loved everything, though!
First, a purse she knitted from old t-shirts! It's so cool and stretchy, and doesn't feel t-shirty at all! It also has a nice "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" patch on it!!

Next, some tea, some natural lip gloss, a cute little vase for flowers that you hang on a window or something, & a book of ways to save the planet! The fabric-covered book is a journal she made, with paper bags and nature pictures as the pages!

& last, yaaaaaaaaaaaarn! Tons of it! She spun it herself, and it is fantastic!!

This swap was really fun! Thanks again to Tristitia and to the organizers!
9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Octopode Pandemonium! (Now with Tutorial!) on: June 08, 2008 03:21:37 PM
I made 2 the other day! (My second 2, I posted my first 2 earlier in the thread, I think):

The blue one follows the pattern pretty closely and green one has a more bulbous body. Thanks again for the pattern! So cute!
