631  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: ultra-poofy tattered skirt on: September 29, 2010 02:09:43 PM
Mmm... So very Gibbous. <3 I love it. Cheesy
It looks perfect to wear during winter, 'round the holidays, or near Valentine's. (Even though it's pretty cold where I am- I'd brave it anyway.)
I love the trinket details!
Great job!

thanks for all your comments. I actually did make this keeping winter in mind, i live in canada and it can get super cold up here, as im sure everyone knows lol i hate wearing pants though because the snow usually gets them soaked up past the knees when im out for a while, wearing skirts with the tights and stockings with some boots in the winter is so much better and keeps me nice and dry.

lol this reminded me of southpark, the one where Randy had the largest turd in the world...and of course how bono is just a giant turd lol. awesome!
633  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / ultra-poofy tattered skirt on: September 27, 2010 11:07:01 AM
made this tattered skirt from a few yards of different fabric. Theres a few lacey fabrics, and a transparent solid red fabric and bits of left over white material. Its extra poofy which i love.

*Its all hand sewn and has buttons and beads on the waist band and a bit on the lower skirt to pull it all together

*sorry i took this pic in my bedroom, its not as clear as the others but it shows the waist band and most of the skirt. thanks for taking the time to look

I hope to hear any comments and critisims you all have

634  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: My Latest Fanware Brainchild, hand-drafted pattern, tons of topstitching! on: September 17, 2010 01:26:47 PM

As for the pattern, I do indeed still have it, I'm just not sure how to go about sharing it.... I don't mind at all, it's just that it's made of 16 pieces (each place that there is top stitching is another piece), that I currently have cut out of tissue paper that I drew on.

I also had to make quite a few modifications as I went since my math skills apparently weren't bang on while I was drafting.

If anyone has an easyish way for me to share I'd be happy too... I could photograph the pieces and basic dimensions maybe?

posting the peices with the measurments would be quite helpful, it'd be rather easy to go from there. If you could do that and maybe lable them  or lay them out the way they were put together, so its clear where you sew them together, it would be greatly appriciated.

637  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / bendy voodoo doll on: September 10, 2010 09:42:48 PM

This is a voodoo guy my friend made, he had asked me to put it up. this is one of the only crafty things hes made and it turned out quite well. its based off those little voodoo dolls you can get in the stores and in some vending machines. he has a styrofoam head, pipecleaner body, big googlie eyes and beads for his nose and mouth hes meant to be a creepy blood thirsty vampire and has red at the tips of his teeth he put it together and wrapped it all up in a multicoloured wool

i put it next to some of my meds to show the size it is...
he got the idea from http://www.google.ca/images?um=1&hl=en&tbs=isch:1&q=string+voodoo+dolls&revid=1803541979&sa=X&ei=uAeLTMOnLIGenwfhxaXICQ&ved=0CCIQ1QIoAA&biw=1134&bih=646 these guys   im sure he'd love to hear any comments you guys have on it, itll encourage him to do more im sure Cheesy

thanks for looking all

the top picture looks almost like gaters you wear in cadets, but the dont have the back....in cadets they are just a rectangle with little straps on the sides to close rather than having the wrap around like yours do, but they look really nice the way you've done it:).in cadets the gaters go over the boot and pants, then you pull the pants up a bit to give it a small bubble look almost.
639  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Rockin' Apron! on: August 12, 2010 02:44:48 PM
hehe, your hubby sure can pull of that apron. i like i idea of having the belt at the top, i always find when i have to tie mine, the bow comes undone or loosens too much so i keep fiddling with it.
