Ive been trying to make some brains lately, and im not so sure i like these...i did normal looking ones with a wash of red to look like blood, and i also did some green kinda rotten brains for a zombie feel to them, also with a wash of red for blood..theyre then glazed to finish them off...i still need to put the eye pins in some of them so i can use them as charms
i made these nerds out of white polymer clay and then painted them, i put a few small white lines on them just the the real ones have. i plan on using it for a charm bracelet with a few odd candies, im sure, we all used to enjoy.
i made these using the powders ive been playing around with im not sure what ill use them for, but im sure ill think of something
thanks for taking the time to look at this lot...i hope to hear any comments you might have.
i got some powders i wanted to try with my polymer clay rather than using paints, and i love the effect so far. i wanted to do something simple rather than anything complex to begin with so i could get the feel for them but i think the colour turned out quite nicely on these hearts. i also used some odd bits i found, like nails to add to them.
i thought i'd use these for necklaces thanks for looking, id love to hear any comments you have!
you have no idea how much i love sherlock holmes lol...i have every story, novel and play written including the ones found later but edited by someone else...i cant believe an old woman found one in her attic that was really by connan doyal! i also have the series from the 50s and the granada tv series from the 80s...i also have all the old black and white movies they did and a spoof they made during the 80s where watson was actually the one who solved everything that sherlock wore a girdle lol. everything, but the new movies which are terrible, one has a dragon lol i have a feeling id go over board with this swap and never want to part with anything i made...i have never watched the bbc new verson either, im put off of it because they look like teenagers and theyre not meant to know eachother at that point...maybe ill have a go at watching it though
this one sounds like it could be alot of fun...though it does seem a bit large with sending two books as well as crafts, maybe its just me though, i tend to read quite large books and i only like hard covers, i make a point not to get soft cover books lol.
that is incredibly interesting about your book, i'd love to read something like that. for the most part i cant seem to find any newer books that have the same kinda feel as all the older stories so i always try to find old novels and stories when im out, but i would read something like that in a heart beat. you should tell me when its done, if it gets published, ill be your first buyer I plan on looking up that other book you mentioned as well, maybe ill be able to find it at the stores around here, i always seem to have luck finding something interesting. i got the book of the grimms from a thrift store...or maybe it was the used book store, i have 3 large ones in this town, and it was only a buck! i dont think ive ever had to pay more than 2 dollars for any of my old books lol. i'd pay full price for yours though
oh i love all the old grimms fairy tales. i actually have an old copy of the set. i personally love the way cinderella was originally written, they certainly changed how all those stories really are for sure.
i would love this swap as well...ive just started swapping, and im loving making things for other people i get so many more ideas than just doing it for myself. i still have to get feedback from my first swap though, if sign-ups are mid feb i should have it in time to join this one ill keep an eye out for it.
Ive been fiddling around with polymer clay lately and i thought id finally come and post some of the things ive made. i know this is kinda meant to be posted with the jewlery and trinkets, but i thought you guys would like it over here since its polymer clay so i posted it here instead.
i made the shape of the clay, and pit an indent with the pin in the back. i then baked it, painted it and sealed it with a spray finish i have had for quite a while. i then glued it to the pin with a very strong glue so it wouldnt break easily. im sorry for the dark images i had used my cell camera for the pictures.
i'd love to hear any comments or suggestions you may have about them
