611  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / mario charm bracelet on: January 22, 2011 12:25:29 PM
I know this is meant to be in the jewlery section, but i thought id post it here instead because its made of polymer clay

i made some mario mushrooms and some yoshi eggs, and put them on a chain for the bracelet

these are some of the left over charms from when i made the mushrooms...i also have some yellow left over, but i forgot to take a picture of it as well.

id love to hear any comments or critisims that you may have.
612  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / hand made hair pins on: January 22, 2011 12:21:31 PM
Ive been fiddling around with polymer clay lately and i thought id finally come and post some of the things ive made. i know this is kinda meant to be posted with the jewlery and trinkets, but i thought you guys would like it over here since its polymer clay so i posted it here instead.

i made the shape of the clay, and pit an indent with the pin in the back. i then baked it, painted it and sealed it with a spray finish i have had for quite a while. i then glued it to the pin with a very strong glue so it wouldnt break easily. im sorry for the dark images i had used my cell camera for the pictures.

i'd love to hear any comments or suggestions you may have about them

I love your pinstripping on jacks suit. Whenever i've seen them done, I dont think its been so perfectly painted like that. I've actually been wanting to make a jack for a while but just havent gotten to it...this makes me wish i wasnt so lazy lol.

618  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: its a bird...its a plane! IT'S SUPERMAN! on: December 26, 2010 01:28:54 PM
you definately should give it a try. its not hard to do by hand if you dont want to use a machine, it just takes longer to finish everything. i have ALOT of free time so it doesnt take me too long to make things. usually a day or two but its well worth it. i plan on getting a machine, and learning with that though so i can do things quicker but this was definately a good way for me to start i think. ive only been sewing for maybe a year and ive learned alot about making patterns and everything else that goes with it. ive made quite a bit more than ive put up here..it'll get up here someday though lol.
619  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / funky munky on: December 25, 2010 03:41:44 PM
this is the first pair of underwear ive made. i put lace around the waist and legs, and used a plain black for the back.

Theyre super comfy and were all hand sewn. i also made the pattern myself.

i made this a while ago, but just never got around to posting it

this is a hand sewn tanktop using some superman fabric i have. it has a cross over area at the chest and a black strip right below it. the back is also black.
