1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Making a pattern on: May 15, 2012 02:10:23 PM
So what is the general consensus on the "best" program - paid or otherwise? I think I've heard the most on PC Stitch and HobbyWare, so I'd guess one of those? I'd like to start selling patterns in the future so I'd like to invest my time/money in a reliable program.

Oh and question! I've seen users on Etsy with their (computer generated, not physically made) pattern previews displayed on hoops - do they photoshop that themselves or does it come as a feature with one of these programs?

And the pattern's free? Ooh, you've got my attention! I'm thinking I might could adapt that to what I'm trying to create.
Does anyone have any further instructions/tips/etc?

I'd love to make my boyfriend something similar to this for his birthday.

The description says the fabrics are polyester micro fleece for skin and acrylic fur, but that's about the extent of my knowledge. I wouldn't even know where to begin on this one! Ideas?

Wow these are fabulous! So bright and fun.
I've tried to marble my nails but it never works! I think my polish is too thin or something. It won't disperse in water right, nor set correctly. Boo!
