11  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Tiny origami stars! on: December 17, 2009 08:29:01 AM
these are amazing. i have been obsessed with stars for as long as i can remember and me being the hopeless romantic that i am have also been planning my wedding. my boyfriend's family is from mexico and i think mexicans look so good in hot pink and white people look good in royal blue which are my two favorite colors so i am hoping those will be my wedding colors and i will have the white people wear blue and hispanics wear pink. anyways to cut to the chase i think it would be awesome (and not to mention much cheaper) to make a bunch of these in those two colors to decorate the tables with rather than buying confetti and such...maybe putting them in a jar or soemthing...i dunno for sure but i do think it would be great. Cheesy

13  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: A little late, but what i made the boy for valentines on: December 17, 2009 07:56:25 AM
it makes me happy for you that you have such a wonderful boyfriend. and sad for me that if i put that much work into something, mine wouldn't appreciate it. tragic. but I love the book and alas, despite my bf, maybe i could do something similar for my sister for her birthday rather than a valentine's gift..hmmm.....
14  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Felt Christmas Ornament- Tutorial and Pattern Included on: December 17, 2009 07:49:21 AM
ahhhh so cute! my friend recently got me into using felt and while it's pry a little late to start decent ornaments for this year...i could certainly do them next year! and i think you could even stitch names on them and use them as package tags eh? hmmm the ideas are cascading in. thanks for such a wonderful idea!

20  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: diagonal granny square baby afghan on: December 08, 2009 06:11:52 AM
I COMPLETELY AGREE. pastels get to be so...blahhh. my oldest nephew i made a rainbow colored afghan and my sister is rather old fashioned and while she loved it she was disappointed it wasn't "traditional" baby colors. with her second child i attempted to use pastel pink but alas i had to mix it with hot pink to ease my bright colored obsession. so happy crocheting with those bright colors! just remember, do it how ever you feel it should be done because if you do it your way it will have a little bit of you in it and then it will mean even more that you made it!
