941  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Bookmark Swap Round 3 (Signups 07/15-08/04, Send-outs 09/05) on: August 08, 2010 09:39:03 AM
I'm so glad I stalked my partner - lol - now I have what I think is a really great match for a book swap for her. It's just to get on it ... and to be able to afford to send it.

Twilight - I have two close friends who truly <3 Twilight - and who told me I had no right to bitch if I hadn't even read the books .... which was a very good point. So I read all four books, didn't really care for them, and proceeded to rag on them - but to be fair, they hack on me about my HP love. Friends won't ditch you because of what you read  - or they shouldn't, at any rate.

Graduation - It's hard to tell where your life will lead you, but I hope that things work out for you.
Papercraft - some things are valuable just for their potential, i think. That's because I hoard things, too.
Glitter - I agree, glitter is overrated.
Murder She Wrote - it was such a good show - but I'm a Columbo fan, myself.
Shhh - so long as you and your husband are cool, who gives a rat's ass what anyone else thinks? - with the understanding that not all secrets need to be public info. Smiley

I got another yesterday, had to wait till today to post it:

"I graduated with so much ambition. I now work in a Co-op. I'm scared I'll still be there in 10/20/30 years time."

on the back: "This is a photo of my graduation. I am somewhere on it ... "

I'm so glad that I did this swap - my step father-in-law gave my dd the Gnomes book (the big fancy compendium thing) and so that helped enormously when it came to get inspiration.

guilty - sometimes 'forgive and forget' feels like a slap in the face. I wonder when people say that if they know how really difficult it can be.

neurotic mom - i hope you had someone you could confide in and could support you. And thankfully it was benign. How scary for you!

Haunted - I hope you found some closure - this one made me tear up.

yeah, well - I kind of jumped the gun, with the idea that if my partner wasn't into the sort of things i was making, I'd use them for gifts .... turns out, after looking at her wists, the things I had made seemed to fit pretty well. And, I had money for postage today, and a way to get to the post office. Serendipity, I guess.  Grin

hahaha whoever did that to their cat is going to burn in the special hell.

I didn't learn until I was 16 .... and I think a lot of recreational pools have adult lessons .....  it's a good life skill to try to aquire.

I made three in two days ... the pattern and instructions are really clear (other than the handles, which confused me until I actually focused and realized what I was doing wrong). The more you make, the faster they go!
