932  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / first book ever made - and it is EPIC! (and has lots of pics) on: July 31, 2010 08:41:33 PM
this is probably for an xmas present (i have to do as much crafting as i can in the summer, as come fall i'm in school full time). I really like it, though. A lot.  But I like to give gifts that pwn, so it's a tossup.

this is blurry, but the camera doesn't really like after sundown in the basement.

it's a cookbook - and the title cracks me up. Cause that's how I roll. Roll Eyes

I put in almost a hundred recipes, named after WoW food/recipes, but consisting of recipes i got off the net or out of my home cookbook.

SPICY! just a sample of a recipe.

Even if no one loves the geekiness of this as much as me, I really do think it's cool. Smiley

I need to think long and hard about this .... I want to, but I don't know if I'll have time, and really don't want to disappoint a partner. DH believes gnomes are 'my people' - stemming from a comment he made while almost asleep. I'd said something about how he was so great, I would bronze him and put him in the garden. He said, "I'd do the same to you, but no one likes garden gnomes."

I'll see how the first week of August goes ... and how inspired I get.

 - okay, i talked myself into it ... I'm going to sign up! -

when you wash acrylic paint, though, doesn't it crack?
935  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Revamped Hair Sticks - picture heavy on: July 29, 2010 08:59:26 AM
Many moons ago, I bought metal hair sticks with little plastic flowers on the top. Eventually, the plastic cracked and fell out of the metal petal shapes, and got bent all out of shape as well. I love hair sticks, as my hair is very thick and long and won't stay up in a bun without them .... so while watching t.v. one night, I created a beaded cluster on top of each - and I LOVE them now. So, here is the before:

and here are the afters:

I realize the colors are washed out, but that's because I was too impatient to wait until morning to take pictures of them.
936  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Enchiladas for the Non Spicy People on: July 29, 2010 08:37:52 AM
I plan on making some of these tonight! but minus the hot sauce, as I don't think my 3 year old will appreciate it. I'm so excited! Thank you for posting this recipe!
937  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Post Secret Round 13 Gallery (Sent out August 18, 2010) on: July 29, 2010 08:27:14 AM
sometimes it feels like you're ALWAYS the bigger person ... and you get tired of it, and just want to be selfish and mean, if only once.

Antidepressants - medication is to make you feel better - and if it takes seven, or twelve, or thirty three, so be it. I hope they work well for you, with no horrendous side effects (i was prescribed antidepressants that gave me auditory hallucinations and made me paranoid - I didn't take them for very long.)
938  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Unicorn Stallion on: July 28, 2010 10:18:30 AM
i have no interest whatsoever in horses, let alone unicorns .... but when i saw this, I actually thought it was LIFE-SIZED because it's so detailed and true to life. This is amazing, you did such a wonderful job! Smiley

there's no need for historical accuracy if you look Marie Antionnette Trampy! Good job - and nice wig.   Grin

I used to work at an adult store (not as exciting as you might think) - I would spend two hours doing inventory and cleaning, and then would crochet/read for the other 6 hrs of my shift. It was kind of awesome - the perfect slacker job.
