so, for the Labyrinth swap, a million years ago, deadbathducky and I were partnered up and decided to do 'extras' for each other. I got an amazing TARDIS shadowbox for my husband, and deadbathducky requested a zombie plush with removable organs. It took me three tries, and I was so very unhappy with the first two (they were Weapons Grade Ugly, people). I was going to send the second, but couldn't bring myself to inflict such ugliness and bad crafting, so it was middle of the night crafting and I finally made something I was proud of. She *just* got the package, so I'm happy to post the pics of it.
her face! so proud of this! I'm glad I made it of corderoy, I like the texture.
in her altogether
I needed a way to make her limbs removable - ties were terrible, velcro was a mess - but buttons were a go!
and I needed a chest cavity
for her innards!
heart, stomach, liver, kidneys, lungs, small intestine, large intestine, gall bladder, and bladder
a head flap??
for her braaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiinnnnnn
deadbathducky was really hoping for a removable brain (for the doll), so I came up with this - a styrofoam ball cut into basic brain shape, hot glue and greyish paint
and now, to misquote Miss Patsy Cline, she fell to pieces ... (hmm mmm mmm mmm)
i received from tiffi_333 yesterday, but my camera and I have ... issues ..... so I was delayed posting them. Here goes! It was a felt food package, and I'm so pleased and excited with what I recieved!
i was so excited I went and cleaned my craft room in preparation for having the time to make me some sammich! Thank you so much, Tiffi! This is awesome!
these are the latest I 'designed' although really it was just tons of time messing with fonts. This is 'Baron' I think, I can't really remember. My husband bought these for me for Christmas a few years ago ... so i got this one for my son:
and this one for my daughter:
I also got a fill done on my gryphon at the same time. What a good husband I have. I'm hinting at another tatt for our fifth year anniversary this year.
power outages suck. packages from p.kok RAWK, though!
this intrigued me so I ripped open the package to figure out what it is - and it is COOL, people! It's for making glazes like soup and things - I dunno exactly what it's called, but I'm excited to use it!
some of the samples! these are a little worse for wear, as my littlest has absconded with them, and has been storing them in an Oilers lunch kit. I also received some instructions, and some very cute charms which have disappeared.(I'm SO sorry, p.kok, but they were taken by my son and he's hid them because he wasn't allowed to have them.)
The charms that p.kok made for me were a slice of cake, a slice of pie, and a cupcake. (let me know if i missed one - i thought there was four.) I was very pleased, and as soon as I clean my craft room, I'll be making sushi! This was a cool package, and I loved all that was sent! Thank you so much!
just an update, I started with the diy embroidery kit! I drew a robot family, and hauled out the plain old tablecloths that were too *yawn* for the table .... and now everyone gets a robot near their spot. This is for the boy. I just need to keep going on the rest! Thank you, Bourgeois, this is a wonderful kit!
received from Bourgeois today! it was wonderful - and huge! I was so excited! Sorry about all the exclamation marks and all the crappy pics - it's webcam pics because the camera just up and died.
So, the amazing box (that has a picture of Shakespeare on it, made me so happy!)
that really was a bad pic. sorry
there was also this AMAZING journal. At first i was confused as to why i was getting a book that looked like it was roughly my age .... and then i read the little note inside, saying it was from Ex Libris Anonymous (www.BookJournals.com) and in her note, Bourgeois admitted it was a wrench to give it away, as I can believe. This is so lovely!
it still has some original pages, even.
then, all the LEWT!
ready? okay: three embroidery hoops, one traditional large wood, two plastic; one pkg plain fabric (pretty) and two embroiderable towels; needlebook with a ton of needles; proper scissors; one sketching pen; one fabric pen; instructions; hot iron transfers (one of traditional flowers, one of more 'modern' designs); 21 skeins of dmc floss (my favorite is the green variations one - sooo pretty). Did I get spoiled?!? Hells yes! Thank you SO much for this amazing kit! I dunno what I'm going to do first, but I'm looking forward to learning this! Thank you!
Pictures of what i was sent by Deadbathducky! Please excuse the pictures, our camera popped its' clogs, so I had to resort to webcam pictures. first, a couple of masks - one for me, and one for my DD who loves Labyrinth as much as I do. One was cracked in transit, but superglue will fix it no problem. They are so beautiful, the feathers are wonderful!
and some cuffs, these are so cool! glittery and the color is awesome!
also included were some balloons, blue, that say 'I <3 Australia' that made the Boy happy he loves balloons!
Deadbathducky and I did extras for each other, and I asked her to craft something 'Dr Who-ish' for my husband. She made this awesome shadow box that he LOVED. I heard him making 'whoosh' noises for it as he took it downstairs.
and it's bigger on the inside
thank you so much! this was an awesome swap! ETA - there was also a very pretty rose hairclip which didn't make it into the pictures.
just received today from Oxynitrate - I was thrilled, even more so that it was delivered to my house, not just a tag from where the postie pretends to try to deliver, but really just leaves it at the nearest office for me to go get. Where was I? right! pictures! I got a lovely suede covered notebook, reminiscent of the black brothers:
a sweet little box with an ominous warning on the outside
but a treasure within!
a shadowbox clock
some bath bombs that hearken unto the Tyrells
and an extra of two keychains for me and the husband!
wow hearthstones, but they almost have a rose like effect
