2  Labyrinth mask in CHALLENGE 86 ENTRIES by Myrdda on: May 01, 2013 06:52:23 PM
So, for the Labyrinth swap round 5, I sent my partner BoomerBile a mask (if you've seen the movie, you of course can't forget the ballroom scene!) Although it was slightly damaged in transport, I was so pleased with this, and she was able to fix the tip of the beak that broke.

It started with a cheap dollar store gold mask, which I paper machied over, painted, feathered, and decorated.

sorry about the delay - major internet troubles.

When i saw the package i knew there would be wall art, which made me super happy. I opened it backwards to myself so i wouldn't spoil the surprise - and this was on the back!

what in the world could those be, you're asking. Well, I'll show you -

garden markers - Fallout style! AND, cause I'm so lucky

a VAULT-TEC STAMP!! sooo awesome! I'm no longer having a signature - just this stamp!

Then I unwrapped and turned around my wall art, to see:

THE FRONT GATES OF ORGRIMMAR!!

It's needle felted and SUPER COOL!

Thank you so much, PerfectlyBohemian!! This was such a great package!

Prepare yourselves for the awesome. Seatbelts on? Helmets strapped on? Good!

First - a phenom tshirt ! can you smell the awesome?

AND - it has our family motto on the back!

Some lovely artwork for my craft room! (SQUEE!)

And some seriously tuff earrings - I cannot tell you how much I like these - subtle, and true to theme and all kinds of AWESOME - and a sweet marble reminiscent of the glass globes.

And a cool bonus - a book to "write my adventures" in - this was so neat - Boomer and I have a similar esthetic, and I really love this.

Props to a wonderful partner!

5  WWE Wrestling Dudes in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Myrdda on: December 23, 2012 11:38:45 PM
Well, I know that there's a licensed set of wrestling plush called "Brawlin' Buddies". My version have been in the planning for a year, and I had no idea the official ones were being manufactured. I just wanted to save my couch pillows from my son.

I've made four, but they're all wrapped now. I only have a pic of the one with the worst facial hair ever grown: Seamus

Well, seeing as how bubblegum_phoenix can wait till doomsday, and my package will never get to her, it's best that I take negative feedback (because my sending receipt went who knows where) so she can get an angel! She asked me to show pics of what I had made (twice) so here we go:

A kimono

A Hogwarts uniform

A Quidditch uniform

Superman tshirt (and a Blue Sun corp, not pictured)

A copy of an awesome book (which has part of Watership Down for pages)

A blanket chest with a blanket

A Jayne Cobb hat and a Shiny mug

A mug for my partner

Canada magnets and pens

a Llama pin for my partner

some Pullip sized food

and that was the works.

8  "Lolli Dollis" in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Myrdda on: December 17, 2012 06:43:52 AM
So I broke down and bought this pattern of Etsy. I HATE buying patterns, but I was quite sure I'd spend more time drafting a pattern than it would be worth to me.

I'm making six of these little buggers, two for a co workers' granddaughters, and the others for friends' kids.

I made the doll, two outfits, and jammies for each of them. No socks or shoes, cause I just can't fit it into my schedule atm.

iTunes - you harsh bitch. However it's now up and running - so the pictures from my awesome Angel!!

The bag that I WAS going to give to my daughter, but needed to keep because it's perfect for me. Besides, DD got this:

which she's using as her purse, and is perfect for her. We were out on the bus when I took that pic; she loves having something that isn't as confining as a purse, and is different from all her friends.

this bracelet came with two others, which are in DD's room somewhere, so I didn't get a pic of those. I put this on and haven't taken it off. Cheesy the others have red cord, and are attached to a heart and one to a circle. The closures look like this:

this was such a cool package - i am so pleased with what my angel sent to me.

Thank you, Averia!

a surprise bag with:

jelly babies!

and:

and:

and:

Thank you, Lynx, for all your hard work! It was a  great swap and you were an awesome partner!
