53  CANADA / Alberta / Re: Edmonton? E-town? Anyone? on: January 23, 2005 02:02:07 PM
Yeah, DIY culture isn't everywhere in edmonton, hey? I mean, there's stores like Nokomis on whyte ave but it's just mostly people I know who also do crafty things. No comunity to speak of...

I mean, what else other than a stich and bitch? Is there something we can do to maybe all get together with our separate projects and help each other out, etc (like craftster, but local)

hmmm.

54  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / my bathroom needs a paint job. with images! on: January 23, 2005 12:48:53 PM
Hey all.
I feel like I have the world's ugliest bathroom. I want to paint the walls a light grey/blue/aqua and make the cabinets an electric red-orange, but after that I want to treat the cabinets some way. Like, transfer an image onto them (trees?) somehow.

Any ideas how you could do that in a extra-humid environment?

55  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: ipod on: January 09, 2005 08:27:04 PM
get some clear vinyl at your local fabric store (or buy a clear shower curtain, now that i think about it, it's prolly cheaper) , glue a funky image onto the vinyl with sparay adhesive, and wrap it around your ipod . like this one from a company called tinymeat:
