I have been making alot of jewelry lately and I thought I would just put it all in one big post!
Here is what I did with polymer Clay:

This is one of my favorite necklaces. I used a tree trunk charm I had and polymer clay-

I have been getting requests on making a tutorial for a circle scarf. Now, I am not a very technical person more of a "just do it and see if it works" but I will do my best with measurements and all. I hope you enjoy  


So, my sister wanted a circle scarf from American Apparell but they were selling it for almost fourty bucks!

Crazy right? Anyways, I made her one instead and not only did I save money, but it was one of the most simple pieces of clothing I have ever whipped up.

1. Start with a peice of soft stretch cotton fabric that is about 50"x60"

The fabric I used was a bit smaller because I didnt have a big enough peice. Feel free to play with the measurements but I thing 50x60 would be good if you wanted to use it as a dress or shirt like American Apparell does.
2. Fold it in half hot dog style, right sides together.

Pin and sew the open edge.
3. Turn right side out and it will be a big tube.

4. Next, fold one of the sides in so that the edge is folded and not raw.

Insert The other end of the tube into the folded end and pin.

Once you have everything pinned and the seam looks nice and straight, sew it up! Make sure to use a thread that matches your scarf because it will show.
I did a zigzag stitch and sewed some extra decoritive stripes around the outside of mine for fun.

I made my bag out of plastic grocery bags.

Each square is a full grocery bag folded up so that it would be heavy duty.

I hand stitched on the red grocery bag to make a reduce/recycle/reuse heart.

The strap is made from braided bags.


The only materials used were plastic bags and thread! 

I had so much fun with this challenge and am happy with the way this turned out. I feel so ecofriendly when I carry my bag and love the inspiration craftser gives me!

I made a backgammon set for my Mom.

I started out with a case that had a kids paint and pencil set inside. I ripped out the plastic and then sandpapered it.


The out side I decorated with felt to make it match the forest day/night theme.

I hand painted all of the trees then the rest was cutting out paper and using modge podge.

When it was dry, I painted on the tree trunks and the grass.


The peices and dice are made from polymer clay and I sewed little felt bags to hold the peices. You can either be on the purple/green team or the blue/red team!

I gave it to my mom today and she loved it. We played it for the first time and I was the closest to beating her I have ever been! But i still lost  But it was still fun!

This is my newest and favorite hoodie!

There  is a big flap in the front attatched with two buttons with tulips on them. The tulip applique is made of felt and was hand sewn on. It also has hidden side pockets made from the same printed fabric as the hood.

It has a really big hood and thumb holes.. and I cant wait to wear it to the skagit valley tulip festival this spring!

I have lots of pills to take daily and am tired of carrying around the old lady's regular pill box. This is the first needlepoint project ive done and it fits my box of pills perfect!

I was inspired by a needlepoint box to look like a nintendo controller.



The closure is just yarn that wraps around a heart button.


I lined the inside of the box with blue felt:


Now I have the hippest pill box on the block!

I made a childrens activity book out of plushie felt!


The apples have velcro and can come off of the tree (but are connected by clear thread) and the flowers can be unbuttoned and come out of the pot to play!


The shoes can be untied and unlaced!


If only I had a baby of my own to give this to! I love making kids toys but dont know any.

I have a new passion- making hoodies! I use a combonation of new fabric and reused sweatshirts.

The only problem I have been having is with the hoods.. I made some of them a bit small and they fit funny, but I am still pretty happy with them all.
