Ok.. me again. Next.. I'll post the stuff I sent to aspiring. I'm glad she likes her stuff but it seems kinda small compaired to all the amazing stuff I just got.  Undecided Don't be mad if I sneak you something else just to say thanks then girlie Wink

In her swap info it said she likes pink and hearts and she's a vegetarian so I seen this really goofy pigs with hearts on pink cotton material and knew I just had to have it Smiley
I decided to make her basic pajamma bottoms, and then bought a pink cotton stretchy tshirt and stenciled the heart on it with 2 colors to match the jammie pants and make a Pajamma set. (unfortunatly the shirts a different pink, but yeah I wasn't thinking fine lingere at the time) Wink

Next she's starting out knitting like me (she's way better than me check out the great stuff she made me!) so I made her a pair of knitting needles from some great black laminated chopsticks I have (I made sculpey balls on the ends) and then took all the free easy knitting and crochet patterns I have from the net and put them all on a disc for her too! I made a cute label for it from a knit picture I seen online, and the other cd is just a copy of the Music to Craft By mixed cd I made for another swap. (new free music rawks!)

Lastly, I made aspiring a little hemp bracelet with a lampwork purple ladybug bead, a partridge pin with starry eye, and a pink sparkly massage bar of soap with the scent of Apple Pie. Oh and she loves socks so I found a great pair of little hearts and partridge birdie socks to throw in too. Talk about perfect crafty tie in!

It all piled up. .

This swap is going so great, I've been having so much fun making new stuff every month Smiley

Ooooh kay.. finally got all the pics off the cam and edited and resized and away we go!

First I'll post the pics of the AMAZING PILES OF loot I got from aspiring. She sent me WAYYYYYYYYYYYY to much stuff and I love every last bit of it. My birthday was the day before so it was like one massively cool birthday present too! Anyways, on with the pics, you'll see why I'm gushing..

Knitted Arm warmers! These are a chunky black yarn (it's neat and stretchy bumpy) knit with a black shiney either fun fur or eyelash yarn I think. These are sooooo d@mn cool. I wore them for like an hour and it's warm out, just because they're so fun to look at.

Next, a thick and pretty pink cabled belt! I can tell you alot of work must have been put into this it was her first cable knitted project and I'm one lucky girl to have it. It's gorgeous and easy to wear Smiley

..and.. Now a hand painted pink and red kitty tote (I love the kitty face!) with an inner zipper pocket (I'm taking this on my birthday present trip to New Orleans so I can zip up my passport and stuff all safe inside). Cute Polka dot socks and the coolest hot pink Kung Fu mary janes ever. I might stencil some black stars on them.

And the first massive loot pile of assorted goodness!
There's: Shrinky dinks, a cute little watch, a hearty pencil case, sunglasses, nailpolish, a MIY (make your own) stenciled patch, and cutie flowered bag ties. Omg stuff!!

The second massive pile of assorted crafty goodness!
There's: One small ziplock of green floss, beads, buttons, little umbrellas and a poker chip magnet. Another small ziplock full of beads, umbrellas, floss and buttons this one in red and black. (can't wait to make stuff with this!). Three iron on patches, one little fuzzy purse one, one with black velvet hearts, and one thats sequin and beaded cherries.. omg thank you!
A little bead container filled with tiny colored dice beads (you must have seen in was in the rockabilly swap, I live for stuff like that!). A Knitters beginner guide which will be used for sure. A picture frame/tray (I'm using it for a bead tray it works awesome for that) a few postcard/flyers. A pack of 25 assorted hand sew needles, so useful.

Next.. (yes my mind boggles at home much COOL STUFF I got)..
I got 4 beautiful bracelets made with mostly glass beads, the black and red ones my favorite but I honestly like them all. Two pairs of earrings, the little red ones remind me of apples, and the other ones are cherries, she even did brown beads for the stems and a little green leaf. AMAZING! And she made me some gorgeous stitch markers out of pretty lampwork beads.

In other words I got totally spoiled. I swear I'm such a girl I was all sniffly. Thanks so very very much Carla, you're my craft swapin' hero, I can't believe how much stuff you got in one box!

Ok I have been literally slower than snail snot at posting pics lately  Undecided
I finally got off my butt and took pics of the GREAT stuff that dixie_terror sent me!

Secret msg in a bottle (the note says I hope you enjoy your stuff!) and a really cool painted and stamped wooden box

Drop dead pirately gorgeous folder that she hand drew and colored the cover for, check out the AMAZING roses!

Piratey pink and good painted picture on wood canvas, I like how it was done with polka dots, this is currently hanging in my craft room looking spiffy Smiley

And last but not least, this is my favorite thing out of the great lot of stuff, it's a travel coffee mug that dixie_terror stamped and shaded the liner for, it has kneeling and begging skeletons, a Buccaneer pirate girl (she's dead sexy) and little XXX rum bottles. I keep getting compliments on this, it's so neat!

so thanks so much dixie_terror and to Jadey_McShadey for organizing this Smiley

24  Re: Altoids / Mini Tin Swap! in The Swap Gallery by Shotgun_Bettie on: June 05, 2005 05:11:11 PM
I must say I'm so impressed with all these tins!!

I'm going to post pics of the one I made Plumpea, after trying my @ss off with Polymer clay (sculpy) I just wasn't happy how my tins came out so last minute I decided to try something different with the round Altoids Sours tin I had.
I ended up making a little 'iced cake' out of felt Smiley

Heres the outside, I ran out of one color pink felt so I had to use 2. The top of the tin is pink sparkly felt, then I added a little quilt batting underneath, glued on some pretty little star sprinkles, and a 'cherry' button on top.

The bottom and sides, I used a polka dot grosgrain ribbon for the 'cake cup' and plain brown for the bottom, and TRIED to make the icing on the sides look cute. (it's handsewn to the top then glued down)

And then inside, my partner likes pink, and stars, so I used up some shiney star stickers I had, they kinda match the sprinkles I think.

I had WAY more fun making this then my horrible foray with polymer clay, and I'm just happy Plumpea likes it Smiley

I got a gorgeous tin today from femmetastic, as soon as I opened it I said 'OOOOOOOOoo pretty!!!!'.
It's polymer clay with a nice soft felt lining inside. She also made me 3 really beautiful beaded bracelets (they look awesome all together when you wear them).

I must say I'm really impressed with the job she did, all the little swirls on the top really make this tin, and it has cute little stubby legs to raise it up just like a cameo box. In short, I love it, and it's currently holding all my earrings on my nightstand.

Thanks so much femmetastic I love it Smiley

***the tin isn't actually this shiney unfortunatly the flash on my cam made it look so SadSad***

Wowsers! Everyone's stuff looks fabulous! How do you get the photos on the clay?!  I'm sure there's some tut for that somewhere, right?

anyway, I received my wonderful tin from graciepetunia today and wanted to share it with everyone.  I am a competitive cyclist so she keyed in on my cycling habit, and the tin came at the perfect time since I crashed in a race yesterday and had been feeling quite down (and sore) today.  Totally made my crummy day brighter.   Here are the photos of the tin...and the extras she sent!!

Isn't it darling?! I love it!  Inside was a tiny set of knitting needles with some yarn, patterns and rings for a bracelet. the rings are inside the round little metal canister that has a magnet on the back. So cute!

And here are the extras she sent along for my two kiddos! The 6 yr old quickly claimed the toothbrush and made up a Toothbrush Dance, and the 2 1/2 yr old loves the octapus.  They insisted on showing them off themselves!

As my older one said of my goodies, "Mommy, she is ON it!!"

I will now post some photos of the tin I sent her...

talk about AMAZING.... extras!!! wow! And your kids are sooo cute!

I got a great pin from xmelinda in the mail yesterday! It's wood with a laquered on picture, and what you can't make out in the picture here is that the sides of the pin have cute little red and pink polka dot trim, and there's a few little glitter sparkles on the top.

I love this seriously, thanks so much Smiley

Hi, sorry I suck for not posting the pics sooner..

I got some amazing stuff from emerald6,

Everything minus one really cool polka dotted belt she made me (it's currently on my body):

Close up of the picture frame she made me. MAN is this sweet. I believe it's paper mached!:

Light switch plate with pinup girls and the coolest My Little Pony earrings ever:

And last but not least, my favorite thing out of the cool bunch, an Archie comic book wallet. This is made with the comic pages, packing tape and velcro and my g*d, it looks perfect, it's so well made. Thanks so very much!

I hope the rest of this swap goes this well!

30  Re: funky black purse swap - pictures! in The Swap Gallery by Shotgun_Bettie on: May 11, 2005 10:59:31 PM
Ok I've been a total slowpoke! Trying to get a decent picture of a black purse isn't that easy!

First off, this purse is freakin amazing, seriously, excuse my potty mouth but i love it to bits.
It's knitted and felted (fulled) and even came with a matching little stripy zippered wallet *GLEE!*
So, here's my attempt to get decent pictures of this gorgeous purse..

It has a matching hot pink zipper, and a little striped pocket on the front, and hot pink Swallow appliques.

Like I said, I'm so happy with this cute little fuzzy purse it's not even funny.
Oh and the purse isn't that small at all, just my hand looks MASSIVE in that picture?  Tongue

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH acesulfamek  !!
