1  Denim Sampler Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by clahup on: April 29, 2012 03:52:50 PM
My brother had loads of jeans that he never wore anymore so I decided to make him a denim sampler quilt.

The quilt covers his double bed with a bit of overhang on each side and the end.

I apologise for the creased quilt, I gave the quilt to my brother about a month ago and forgot to take pictures of it beforehand.  To take these pictures today I had to retrieve it from a crumpled ball on the floor  Undecided (he promises he likes it ... but actions speak louder than words)

3  little girls dress in Crochet: Completed Projects by clahup on: October 26, 2011 05:09:07 AM
This was my first attempt at crocheting something that wasn't a granny square.  It is for a friend's daughter using the same pattern as my mum used to make me a dress when I was little.

I dont want to make another bobble ever again!

4  Re: ACTIVE: SEPTEMBER GRANNY-A-DAY 09/01-09/30.11 in Crochetalongs by clahup on: September 18, 2011 11:11:35 AM
Hi, I havent joined in on any of these before, despite having made two crochet square blankets already.  This is the one I am working on at the moment for my brothers girlfriend.

I am also working on a pastel coloured blanket for my mum but haven't done as much on that one yet.

Each blanket will have 70 squares.

5  Flower Fairy Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by clahup on: September 02, 2011 05:29:31 AM
My mum absolutely loves flower fairies so I decided to make her a quilt of them.  I actually completed this in time for her birthday in February 2010 but only just remembered that I should post it!

This was my first quilt I made and it was done by hand (all the stitching and quilting) as I didnt have a sewing machine at the time.

The fabric is by Michael Miller.

Here are some close up shots

6  Granny Square Afghans in Crochet: Completed Projects by clahup on: September 02, 2011 05:23:57 AM
I made an afghan earlier this year using 70 (10 rows of 7 squares) different squares in pink, grey and white.

My brother then decided he wanted one, so I made one in blue, brown, cream and navy

Then his girlfriend decided that she wanted one, so I have only just started on this with pink, yellow, lilac and mint.

I am also working on a afghan for my mum in white, pink, yellow and mint, but I have only made 1 square so far!

All the squares are 6" and made with DK wool and a 5mm hook.

Thanks for looking
