1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Notebook & Covers - True Blood - Twilight - Repo on: October 17, 2009 12:44:38 PM
So...I posted here some months ago with a sketch book I did for a friend out of a Harry Potter book...and I've made some more since then.
I haven't made any more Harry Potter things...but I've made some Twilight, New Moon and True Blood things Smiley

First, as I put in my Etsy listings...no books were harmed in the making of these Smiley

This is the first one I did...I made it for a friends niece for her birthday. She's a huge Twilight/Edward/Carlisle fan Smiley

I've made about 3 Twilight ones in total. Each one I tend to use different quotes from the book -

Here is my lone New Moon one...no one has bought poor Jacob. lol

I then decided to make some note book covers...these ones hold regular 3 ring paper -

And here is an Eric Northman one -

I had a girl order a custom one...dog themed - This one was made for A5 paper - It's about the size of the first Twilight notebooks I made.

Now to start making more, because I have a craft fair coming up around Thanksgiving. Smiley

Thanks Smiley
I haven't made another Harry Potter one since...I've made a couple Twilight themed ones though.

Gotta remember to make some more Harry Potter ones Smiley

Thank you Cheesy

I figured, since it was falling apart, I'd give it a new life.
I plan on doing it again for another friend who likes to draw. I just need to find the right book Cheesy

This was a Christmas present for a friend.
She loves to draw and she loves Harry Potter...so I figured this would be perfect.
It only took me a few hours to put it together. Mainly, I had to wait for glue to dry and then cut the paper to the right size.
I put the rings on it, so she could refill it with more paper or use it for something else once she's done sketching in it. Smiley
I used a Harry Potter book that was somewhat falling apart. So I don't feel as bad for doing it. But it was still hard for me to do this to a book.
I have found out a better way of doing it since.
I used Packaging tape on the front and back covers, because I didn't have anything else I could use at the time.

Front cover -

Inside front cover, I decorated it with some pieces that I cut off of some scrapbooking paper I had -

Inside back cover, I did the same thing to it that I did to the inside front cover -

Back cover -

And she loved it Cheesy

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Why So Serious? Joker purse on: January 29, 2009 12:00:21 PM
Thank you Smiley

I figured I didn't have to worry about lining anything up either...because it would be perfect for the Joker.

Cheesy

Yeah...white is just not a good color for me to wear. Plus when it's a guys t-shirt, it always seems to be made thinner than a girl's white shirt.

So...I found this t-shirt at Wal-Mart. Sadly they only sell it in white...white and I don't get along, but I got it anyway. I figured I'd make myself a bag/purse.

So a couple weeks ago, I finally figured out how I wanted to make it.

I used purple, black and green corduroy pieces, recycled from corduroy pants.
I used some striped fabric on the inside...and also used pockets from some corduroy pants.

And this is how it turned out -

You can't really see it, but the inside pocket also has a side pocket. Smiley
The strap is half green, half black. I wanted to use purple, but I didn't have a long enough strip left over.
I love it...and I've used it everyday since I finished it Cheesy
9  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: T-shirt quilt/blanket on: July 23, 2008 11:42:29 AM
Thank you Smiley
I really liked the Hula dancer one too.

I finally, completely finished it. So I should be getting better pictures in a day or two Smiley

I really want to make one of these. I already cut up a bunch of teeshirts. How do you sew them together? Do you just put the sections facing each other and sew from the back, then flip it around, then put batting and backing?

Yeah, I just pinned them with the front sides facing and sewed from the back.
I didn't put any batting in mine...I just sewed it to a sheet. But you can put batting in if you want. Smiley
They're actually pretty easy to make...at least I think so. Cheesy
