I'm trying to figure out where you are in the first pic. Are you in a room with a funky roof? Or are you outside and it just happens to be the Apocolypse? Or did you dump CS2 over the photo? The possibilities!

it was outside, on a cloudy night in the city. I exposed for the sky (the red is exagerated by the exposure, but you know how the sky in the city looks reddish at night with the city lights reflecting on the clouds?) and I used a flash. the weirdness in the background are joshua trees in the yard.

it was uncomfortable only because I made the bodice go down too far. it whould have ended at the waist to give more flexibility. but the inside was comfy, it was lined with the t-shirt I used as the base of the mold, therefor there is no skin to newspaper contact or abrasiveness.

i'm going to try to make ad ress similiar to this [newspaper also] for my sadies dance in fbeurary.
cool! if you make the bodice out of paper mache, don't make it go so far down that you can't bend, or you will be very uncomfortable all night!

Whoa. I hope this is wearable.

well, it's durable. it's wearbility depends on what you line it with and how much you reinforce the rivets.
also ending it at the waist or tapering it up around the hips so you can bend in it. it's totally wearable.

this is neato!  it reminds me of something jeffry made for PR.

who is jeffery and what is PR?
I have never seen the show, but I think domUNIQUE is referring to Project Runway. =)

Your dress is awesome! Did it crumple when you sat down?... or tear at all? I seems really fragile.

I didn't sit, actually. the skirt part is reasonably fragile, but the corset is tough and very thick. I wore it to a costuem party, my biggest problem was not being over to bend over.
