1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Asymmetrical t-shirt dress (or: Good lord I cannot follow directions) on: August 25, 2010 08:37:46 AM
So, after seeing lelyonna's really awesome dress, I finally figured out what I wanted to do with this HUGENORMOUS BLUE T-SHIRT I HAD.  I don't really wear dresses - they're pain to bike in - but I've been on kind of a kick lately.

So I sat down, I looked at it, I was all, "yeah, I got this," and holy shit did I not "got this" at ALL.

I'm a huge fan of it anyway.  I even wore it to school today, and somebody loved it.  Score!

Sorry for the shittastic pictures.  I promise future posts will have better ones, and I'll probably re-do these when I finish unpacking (we just moved into a new apartment, which is my excuse for the messy bedroom, and I haven't gotten a chance to hang my mirror on the wall yet!).

Yeah, headless pictures >.>
Anywho, that's the front.

Long side...ugh, blurry Sad

Short side!! I miscalculated when I was cutting & sewing, and ended up with that little dangly triangle bit, but I couldn't bring myself to take it away.

Please, comment away!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Three [old] Summer Recons -- first post on: December 04, 2009 02:09:31 PM
Hullo, craftfolk!
I've been crafting [poorly ^^;;] for quite awhile now, been lurking for just as long and am just about ready to start displaying things.  Sort of.

These three shirts aren't the best, but I am pretty proud of the Horrorpops shirt, and I thought I could share some of the older stuff I've done...maybe it'll motivate me to finish my current, warmer projects Cheesy

First is a shirt my mom gave me...super simple recon, I think everybody's done it at least a few times Cheesy looks good with BDU cutoffs, so that's nice.

Next shirt (4 pictures) may or may not be a bit inappropriate...the graphic is of a duck giving the finger  Tongue I only really wear this shirt to shows, and usually with a comic strip print bra, but I didn't deem it necessary to change into one  Tongue

And last, the aforementioned Horrorpops shirt! One of my best sewing jobs yet.  I'm pretty impatient and bad at paying attention to detail, but I really tried with this one and I think it shows [in comparison to the massive drawer full of too-poorly-done-to-wear recons].

Sorry for the bathroom mirror pictures...it's the only mirror in the apartment! And I just realized my hair's a mess, and in the last picture the Horrorpops shirt looks like it's too small...it isn't, I swear!!

Thanks for looking! Next up will be warm things, seeing as it's pretty chilly and icy out there [and I ride my bike to school!].
